It was a sunny day in Auradon , after the maleficent accident, so far everything is going back to normal. No more evil villains, no more fighting. The perfect time for Evie to actually focus on her work, making dresses for everyone.

Evie is busy stitching a dress your her bestie, Mal. It is a dark blue dress with a dark purple bow on the waist. Just like Mal likes. Simple and dark. That what she hope so.

A knock is heard on her door. "Come in," she said. Turns out it's her boyfriend, Doug.

"Hey princess. Still working on Mal's dress?" He asked giving Evie a kiss on the cheeks. "Yup, I need to make sure the stitching is perfect, just like her."

"Well, okay. We're heading to the park for lunch. Wanna join?" He said. "Ummm sure, I think I need a break anyway!" She smiled. She took a beach hat and walked out with her boyfriend.

Mal's life was happier now. Her mother promised to not use evil magic ever again and Auradon was never attacked. Well, except for the fire incident. She never wanted to remember it.

The fire accident happened 10 months ago. The school was on fire when Mal herself forgot to turn off the kitchen stove after cooking some soup for everyone. Everyone managed to escape at first. Well, that's what they thought. They suddenly realised that Jane was still in there. Tapped. With no one else closed.

Jay actually wanted to help Jane. But Carlos rushed inside the school. By the time he entered, the school walls fell, closing the entrance. The last thing Mal remembered was Carlos smiling at her while pushing Jane outside of the school.

He died.

Carlos died.

At it was all because of her.

She still couldn't accept Carlos' fate. She was supposed to die. The innocent boy shouldn't.

"Mal? Mal?". Mal finally escaped her head. "Yes, Jay. What did you say?"

"I said, aren't the sandwiches good?" He shouted.

Mal left a sigh. "I'm sorry guys, it's just... The fire -"

"Stop! Mal stop talking about that, you're not the only one that's sad, everyone is. Especially, Jane." Lonnie said. "Sorry," Mal said.

"You know, Jane never get out from her room ever since. She only ate once a week, she's always with Audrey and never talked to anyone else," Ben said. "Well, I've tried helping her, but it won't help," Evie replied. "She still thinks it's her fault."

"Guys, let's stop talking about this." Jay whipped his eyes. " It's nearly a year since that accident happened. You know he will be remembered," Jay then stood up. "I'm not hungry"
