"Do you think she felt anything?"

"If she felt anything, she wouldn't have drowned in a fucking bathtub after falling asleep."

Those voices are familiar. It's all fuzzy and my ears are ringing, but I know these voices.

"Lucky her, I wish I could've just drowned, but no, the only drowning I did was drowning in a fire," I could hear the sarcasm and frustration in his voice through the ringing in my ears.

"Otto, stop."

"At least you were knocked out by the surge before your body burned up."

Wait, drowned? Am I dead? This couldn't be a dream, they're talking about their own deaths, and supposedly mine, from what I understand.

My vision is fuzzy with double vision as I open my eyes, the ringing slowly fading away. I'm not in the bathtub anymore; I'm in my bed, dry and clothed. It feels as if I'm waking up from a long nap as my vision slowly clears itself.

"How was I supposed to-" Geoff's voice paused, "-she's waking up."

I look up at them as the fuzziness clears up; they're looking right at me. I recognize Geoff and Otto from the dream of their last moments and from the news article about the fire. They appear normal, as if they're alive and well. There's not a single mark on them that would indicate they had died, let alone in a brutal fire.

Geoff is standing in front of the bed as Otto sits on the dresser. I wonder if that's why my bottle of lotion fell before.

Otto is the first to say anything as I sit up, starting with a chuckle, "You look like you just saw a ghost."

Geoff laughs at the pun made and high-fives Otto.

Oh God, is this what they're like?

I roll my eyes, which makes Geoff sit next to me, "Come on, lighten up. At least you didn't die the way Awsten had planned out."

Oh, so Awsten had a plan on how to kill me? Lovely. I now notice Awsten isn't anywhere in sight.

"He doesn't know you're awake, yet. He's being all sad and shit downstairs because you died without his permission," Geoff continued, signaling air quotations with 'his permission'.

I could now hear the music box playing downstairs as the ringing completely clears up.

I sigh, pointing between the two of them, "I have a lot of questions for you two."

Otto smirks as he points downstairs, "I think you should have a lot more questions for him than for us. Our names are just a Google search away, but I think you already figured that out."

The music box stops playing as I hear footsteps coming upstairs, "Is she awake yet?"

I guess it's finally time to see this 'Awsten'.

The first thing I notice about Awsten as he steps in the room is his neon green hair, completely unexpected. He looks human just like Geoff and Otto, but he's a demon?

Actually, I'm not surprised about the green hair, now that I remember how his name is spelled.

Awsten pointed at me, raising one of his bushy eyebrows, "So, you wanted to avoid my own plan, huh?"

I furrowed my brows at him. I'm admittedly scared of him, especially after being possessed, but I tried not to show how scared I actually was of him.

"I don't even know what your plan was."

"Oh, you wanna hear about it?" he asked sarcastically as he stepped closer.
