The only reason you were in Seattle was to visit your cousin, Alex Karev. You were a first year resident at another hospital, but decided to come say hi to him. Of course you'd showed up very late the night before and Alex decided to pick you up at the airport. However Izzie and George had both begged to come along, reluctantly Alex agreed to this and they all loaded up to meet you. Of course you'd been standing outside when it started to rain, "I should've expected it, it's Seattle for god's sake." You muttered to yourself. When finally a car pulled up and your cousin came out."Hey, Y/N." He said, waving to you as he walked over.
"Hey loser." You replied, freezing from the rain.
"Here are some of the idiots I live with." He said, pointing at the two people clambering out of the car.
"Hi, I'm Izzie it's great to meet you." A tall blonde girl said, smiling just a little to brightly.
"I'm George O'Malley." The brunette gave a slight wave, "You have really pretty eyes." He said before blushing brightly, "Oh god I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound abrupt or-" He quickly started apologizing.
You giggled and shook your head, "No it's fine, thank you." You said smiling.
"God, you must be freezing and you're dripping. Take this." He handed you his jacket. "We should get in the car, guys."

You'd just transferred from Cleveland Clinic in Ohio to Seattle Grace in Washington state. Everything felt so new to you, so foreign, that you felt at any minute you might just crack. It was a big position though to be Head of OBGYN and Neonatal surgery was the upgrade you felt like you not only deserved but needed, so you accepted to job. You hadn't even visited first, just blindly going for it. It was your first official day there and you were struggling to find the Chief's office. Walking over to a nearby nurse station you decided to ask for their help, "Excuse me, can you tell me where I can find Chief Hunt's office?" You asked. The nurse opened his mouth to respond but before he could the doctor who had been filling out papers turned around. "I'm Chief Hunt, you must be Dr. Y/LN our new head of neonatal surgery." He said.
"Yes, I am." You replied, shaking his outstretched hand.
"By the way my office is wherever I am." He said, smiling.

You had started out at Seattle Grace, it felt like home to you. Needless to say when you found out you'd be merging with Mercy West, it made you incredibly angry. They weren't part of this place, this family, they couldn't understand the sentimintality of certain things. Especially since George's death was so fresh in your memory. Your point was only proved right the morning they arrived. You and Izzie had just been sitting in the dressing room, chatting and unexcited, when they entered. The new guys from Mercy West. Things only escelated when someone tried to place their things in George's spot."Hey can you use another one?" Izzie asked, she definitely wasn't her usual self about it.
"No it's an open spot, you don't own it." A girl said back.
"We keep it empty for a reason." You said, standing up to defend your friend.
"Just move your stuff to another cubby." Izzie demanded, more aggressively.
"Great, I get the crazy one next to me." The other girl remarked. You scowled, of course all the new people were like this. You knew they'd be disrespectful.
"You wanna fight?" Izzie asked, standing closer to the smaller girl. You'd just reached out to pull her back when Alex walked in, helping you pull her back.
"Izzie calm down." He said. Only making her angrier, the other girl looked amused and was smiling. You held yourself back from attacking her. The other girl finally changed and left, leaving her things in George's cubby and finally Alex left with Izzie. As you put your stuff in your cubby you couldn't stop glaring at had once been George's cubby. These people had no empathy, this was your hospital not their's and they should learn how it works around here.
"Well, that was a shaky start." A voice said, causing you to snap out of your thoughts. You turned your head towards the voice only to see what would've been a pretty attractive man had his orange scrubs been less well orange. "Jackson, Jackson Avery."
"Y/N Y/LN." You said back, before you got confused. Trying to piece together where you knew that name before. Then you realized, Harper Avery.

Being a Shepherd sibling had always been a blessing and a curse, but knowing that your brother worked at Seattle Grace meant you didn't want to go there. Even when Chief Webber asked you to be a Cardio consult you had come very reluctantly. Trying to avoid your brother at all costs and being 'Little Shep' once again. However this was a good opportunity to prove you were more than your brother, you'd made you way in the world in a completely different specialty. So without telling him you came to Seattle. Walking into the unfamiliar hospital all doubts you had melted away, Derek may be a Neuro God but they needed you here to be the Cardio God. A few hours later you were walking out of your consult and gladly still had seen no sign of your brother, but you did catch the eye of someone familiar. Mark Sloan. "Hey, Little Shep what are you doing here?" He asked the moment he saw you.
You rolled your eyes, "Shut up Sloan, I'm here for a Cardio consult."
"Oh, so you're all grown up now." He joked.
"Wait so you're one of Shepherd's sisters?" A voice said, it was the woman who had been standing next to Mark.
"Yep, one of many." You said.
"Sorry, I should've introduced myself. I'm Callie Torres, Head of Ortho." Callie said.
"Y/N Shepherd, Cardio." You smiled.
•arizona robbins•You'd been working at Seattle Grace for as long as you could remember, finally becoming the Head of Trauma. Recently you had been in a car crash and you were just getting back into work after a month of being off. The intern you had been assigned was a handful and wouldn't listen to anything you said. After spending what seemed like hours, trying to teach them and yelling at them you finally had enough. "After today, you'll be doing rectal examinations for a week." You told them, their mouth opened in protest but you interrupted them. "Nope, I don't want to hear it. Go finish my post-ops." They angrily huffed off and you shook your head as you took a drink of your coffee.
"When they told me you were a tough cookie I didn't think it was actually true." A bright voice said, you looked up to see a beautiful blonde woman. Who just radiated sunshine.
"They've got to learn somehow." You stopped leaning on the desk and stood up. "You're the new Head of Peds, right?" You asked.
"Yep that's me, Dr. Arizona Robbins."
"Dr. Y/N Y/LN. It's a pleasure to meet you Dr. Robbins." You smiled.
"And you."
