Chapter 8: Russia's Sunflower, Da?

Okay, go ahead and say it. Say, "What the heck is wrong with you?! Why haven't you updated?!" Well, there are several reasons actually; one, I've been busy with school work, two, I'm preparing to get braces and have surgery, and three, I wasn't feeling inspired. Please forgive my insolence! Anyway, on with the story!

(Name)'s POV 

I woke-up the next morning to find Mr. China making breakfast for the both of us. It was dumplings, steamed buns, and green tea. As we ate, Mr. China explained to me how he was going to show me around a bamboo forest. 

I was so excited for the trip. 

However, there was a knock at the door. Mr. China went to go answer it and came back a few seconds later, looking terrified with a person right next to him. I looked up at the tall man, who had a big scarf around his neck, smiling at me. "Why hello little sunflower," the man greeted, still smiling at me. "How are you?" 

At first, I was confused. Then I remembered him from that big meeting thing that happened.......maybe a few weeks ago? I don't remember. 

3rd Person's POV 

China was just enjoying a relaxing morning with (Name) when there was a knock at the door. "It better not be Korea again," China muttered as he went to the door. He didn't bother checking to see who it was. "All right Korea, what do you want-" 

"Privyet China," Russia greeted, standing right at the entrance . 

When China looked at the large Russian, he began to tremble a bit. What was Russia doing at his house?! "R-R-Russia," China stuttered. "What are you doing here aru?" 

"I came to see the little sunflower," Russia answered with a smile, inviting himself inside. He walked towards the dining room with China, where he saw little (Name) sitting at a table. "Why hello little sunflower. How are you?" 

(Name) turned her head in confusion and looked over at the terrified China. She then looked at Russia and smiled at him. "I'm good Mister," (Name) said, getting up to walk over to Russia. 

"You can just call me Russia little one." 

"Okay Mr. Russia." 

China just watched in confusion as (Name) talked to Russia, not frightened at all by the large Russian. "Uh, why exactly are you here Russia?" China finally asked. 

"Oh, that's right," Russia spoke, picking up (Name). "I came here to get the little sunflower. I would like to be taking care of her if you do not mind China." 

"Now hold on a second," China protested as Russia carried (Name) out to his car that was running. As (Name) was buckled in, China ran out to the car. "Wait a moment Russia, you cannot just come to my home and take the little girl with you! She needs her clothes, her toothbrush, her hair brush-" 

While China was listing off the things, Russia went back into the house and grabbed all the things (Name) needed. "I have all the things the little one needs now. All I need to do now is take the little one with me." 

"But-" 

"Good bye China. I will see you later my friend." 

With that, Russia drove off with little (Name) in the back seat of his car. 

*********************(Hetalia Time Skip)

After several hours of driving, Russia finally pulled up to his home. "We're here little sunflower," Russia told the little girl as he helped her out of the car. "Come now. Let us go warm up inside." 

"Okay Mr. Russia," (Name) agreed as she followed Russia inside. 

As the two walked inside, Lithuania was waiting for them at the door. "W-Welcome home Mr. Russia sir," Lithuania greeted, taking Russia's coat off. That's when Lithuania noticed (Name) that was by Russia's side. "Mr. Russia, who is the little girl?" 

"Lithuania, this is (Name)," Russia explained. "She'll be our guest, da? So I expect you to treat her well." 

"Hi," (Name) greeted with a smile. "I'm (Name)." 

Lithuania couldn't help but smile at the little girl. "Hello there (Name). Would you like me to take your coat for you?" 

"No thanks, I can do it myself," (Name) insisted as she took off her coat and hung it up on the coat rack. (A.N: Well aren't you just "Little Ms. Independent"?) 

Anyway, (Name) walked around the big house, exploring every room that she could. She went into the kitchen to see Estonia and Latvia cooking dinner. "Hi," (Name) said, walking up to Latvia and Estonia. "I'm (Name)." 

"Hello there," Estonia said, turning to look at the little girl. "A pleasure to meet you my dear." 

"Yes, quite a pleasure to meet you," Latvia added.

Later that night, after eating dinner, Russia carried the little girl up to a spare room. "All right little sunflower," Russia stated as he laid her down in bed. "This is your room." He tucked her in and made sure that she was comfy before getting ready to leave the room. 

"Uh Mr. Russia," (Name) spoke before Russia closed the door. "Can you leave the door open? I don't like the dark." 

"Of course little sunflower. If you need anything, just come to my room. It's right across the hall, da?" 

(Name) nodded and then laid her head down on one of the pillows that surrounded the bed. 

************************************(Hetalia Time Skip)

Later that night, as the snow fell outside, Russia was sleeping in his bed. As he slept, (Name) made her way into his room and then climbed into his bed. She snuggled into the blanket and hugged one of the pillows.

As she did that, Russia woke-up and was surprised to see (Name) sleeping in his bed. What is the little sunflower doing here? Russia thought as he looked at the little girl. She then snuggled into Russia's scarf and hugged Russia's neck, surprising Russia. This caused a big smile to come to Russia's face as he allowed the child to sleep with him.
