Hiya! How are you all? Hope you're doing well! Anyways, behold a new chapter. In this, Lan Fan is 12, and Ling is 13. I made up a Clan, since there are a lot. Also, a bodyguard. Lan Fan POV.

Perfect. Just perfect. I lost him! Again! This is horrible! How does he run away so quickly?! Okay, calm down. Where would Ling go? Probably anywhere food is. THE KITCHEN! God, this guy needs to stop stealing food. I made my way toward the kitchen. Unsurprisingly, he was raiding the 12th pantry. "Young Lord" I spoke, clearly surprising him. "We must leave before the kitchen staff arrive." He just continued to stuff food in his mouth. I was going to have to drag him away. "You'll spoil your lunch," I told him. "C'mon Lan Fan! Live a little!" He argued. "I'm alive because I stop you doing these things. Let's go." I stated. I grabbed his arm and dragged him away. Seriously, he's going to be the death of me one day.

"Hi Lan Fan! How's your boyfriend?" Seriously, I hate this girl. She's the bodyguard of another clan's heir, and she won't shut up about Me and Ling! I just shot her a death glare and continued to drag him along the hallway. I took him to his room and let go. "You have a meeting with the elders soon. Get ready." I reminded him and closed the door. I had to wait outside for him. Okay, so her name is Bai. She's the bodyguard for the Yang clan. To be honest, I kind of hate her because she knows I like Ling, but no one needs to know that. It's irrelevant information. Anyways, he's an heir, and I'm a bodyguard. That's so forbidden. The elders would behead me on the spot for sure. Besides, I'm only 12. Things like this happen all the time. I think? At least in Amestris, they do. It happens in books all the time. Maybe one day I'll get to visit Amestris.

Ling POV

Why doesn't Lan Fan let me raid the pantry?! Ever?! I live a sad life. Still, she's probably the best bodyguard I could ask for. I wonder what that weird girl was talking about. She's the Yang clan bodyguard I think. Oh well, I should get ready. Meetings are boring. "Young Lord, it's time to go." Lan Fan said through the door. She always remembers these things.

The meeting was pretty standard, except what they said at the end. They said I'm going to Amestris, and that they wanted to provide more bodyguards for me. "Fu is old, and that girl is inadequate." They said. That was just uncalled for. Fu is perfectly capable, and Lan Fan is probably more experienced than Fu himself. "They're perfectly capable of protecting me. They've done it until now, haven't they?" I argued. Eventually they gave in. Lan Fan was going to be so happy! She loved Amestris! Anyways, I couldn't wait to tell her!

Lan Fan POV

"6 MONTHS?!" I questioned. Maybe a little bit extra, but I'm so excited! Amestris! Finally! "Yeah!" Link confirmed. "I've gotta go get ready!" I squealed. "Can I trust you not to raid the kitchen for once?" I turned at him. He flashed me a grin. "Of course you can! Yao promise!" He answered. Well, that was good enough! I had so many plans! I was going to make a flower-press book! Collect all the rose colours! Try quiches!

It's time! We're going to visit Amestris! First, we need to cross the desert, but that's not important! Okay, it is, but I'm just so excited! Anyways, I've got everything I need, and we're ready! We left the palace and made it to the beginning of the desert. This is it. The start of something big.
