"Hey there Senku-chan," Gen said devilishly, smirking at the blindfolded man. "Huh, what the hell is..." he starts to respond only to get interrupted by Kohaku. "Ha! It's pointless to beg for help, Senku. Everyone in the villages is with Gen now."
"Heh, heh, heh. Could it be that you guys finally realized that offering my head, and science, to Tsukasa on a plate is the most rational thing, if underhanded, course of action for the stability of the village?" Senku chuckled, getting the attention of Magma and Chrome.
Magma's words floated through his mind, You're the one who's out of line!! Damn it, Senku... If only you'd never come to Ishigami Village that day!!
Senku pressed his lips together, worried about what was going to happen. "Well, I don't what you could be talking about, now," Gen said softly, nudging Suika to take off the blindfold.
"Oho! Its the fourth of January - "Stone Day!" Old man Kaseki stated as the blindfold fell off Senku's face. "We heard it was your birthday, Senku" Kohaku and the others yelled.
Senku stared before him in shock, bewildered at the sight in front of him. "A telescope? No, an observatory." he stared in awe. Memories of his father and his passion for space flooded him.
Gen smiled, "Well~ to be fair, it was kinda just made from my faint memories of it. Like, stick two lenses in a cylinder, right? Orrrrrr something like that."
"Everyone in the village worked their hardest to put this together. And then, you know, we figured you'd be able to fine-tune it yourself." Kohaku piped in.
Senku said nothing as he touched the telescope, admiring the hard work put into it. "Dang, you guys did a great job! This is practical! We can use this as an observation tower, against the Tsukasa Army!!" He said excitedly, looking through it.
"Uh...yeah, I guess," Kohaku said. "A very rational opinion, as usual," Gen replied, shaking his head. Senku stopped suddenly, thinking. "Heh, heh, heh. Men don't go blabbering about their own birthdays. How did you know it was today?"
Just count how many days you've lived. 6268 days.
"Oh, I guess I incriminated myself, huh? But without knowing how long I was petrified, you wouldn't be able to do the math-"
"Oh, you don't remember?" Gen questioned. "You wrote it down. The date that you were depetrified." Senku glanced at the mentalist in shock, remembering that he wrote 5738 A.D April 1rst on the tree bark.
Gen smirked, looking up at the night sky. "If I think about it, from the start, before we even met. More than a little, I already like you Senku-chan. Forget about what I stood to gain from it. It's probably the same for everyone else in the village, too."
Senku glanced at his boyfriend, his expression unreadable. Gen laughed, turning to face him. "Guess you'll probably say this is gross though, huh~?"
"Yeah...Gross, dude," he replied.
"Right~?"
...
I know I could lie but I'm telling the truth
Wherever I go there's a shadow of you
I know I could try looking for something new
But wherever I go, I'll be looking for you
Some people lie but they're looking for magic
Others are quietly going insane
I feel alive when I'm close to the madness
No easy love could ever make me feel the same
Gen sang softly, playing with Senku's hair. The scientist had his head on the mentalist's lap, enjoying Gen's singing. Everyone else in the village was asleep except them.
I know I could lie, but I won't lie to you
Wherever I go, you're the ghost in the room
I don't even try looking for something new
Cause wherever I go, I'll be looking for you
Some people try but they can't find the magic
Others get down on their knees and they pray
I come alive when I'm close to the madness
No easy love could ever make me feel the same
Make me feel the same
Make me feel the same, same, same
I know I could lie but I'm telling the truth
Wherever I go there's a shadow of you
I know I could try looking for something new
But wherever I go, I'll be looking for you
Wherever I go, I'll be looking for you, you
Some people pray to their God for some magic
Cause no easy love could ever make them feel the same
No easy love could ever make me feel the same
Make me feel the same, same, same
I know I could lie but I'm telling the truth
Wherever I go there's a shadow of you
I know I could try looking for something new
But wherever I go, I'll be looking for you
You think it's a lie when I'm telling the truth
Wherever I go, I'll be looking for you
Wherever I go, I'll be looking for you
Looking for you, looking for you
Gen finished, fiddling his fingers. "I thought you were going to sing me a happy birthday song," Senku says, pouting a bit. Gen looks at him in surprise. "I thought you didn't want people celebrating your birthday."
"That applies to everyone except you." Senku smirks, "But that song was good enough." Senku gets up, kissing Gen slowly. Gen blushes, kissing him back.
"Happy Birthday Senku-chan~" Gen murmurs as Senku attacks his face with kisses. "Hmm, but there is one thing lacking." the scientist says, kissing his way down to Gen's neck.
"Ngh, what would that be?" the mentalist grunts, feeling quite flushed and flustered. "You..." the muffled voice of Senku teases, slowly removing the mentalist purple overcoat.
"Senku-chan~"
Wherever I go, I'll be looking for you
