brielle pov :
"you want your our fathers to invest in a strip joint?" i asked chuck as he showed me around a place. "how midtown."

"a burlesque club — a respectable place where people can be transported to another time, where they can feel free to let loose. no judgement. pure escape. what happens at victrola. stays at victrola."

"well, it does have franchise potential," i said as i looked around. "chuck bass i do believe that all your years of underage boozing and womanizing have finally paid off."

"you are my toughest critic, well second."

"so do you think our fathers would go for it?"

"it is exactly the kind of innovative thinking upon which the bass clermont empire was built. it is the perfect thing. i've been waiting for this."

"we are so late. are you coming?" i asked him.

"i gotta pitch it to bart and anthony." i walked out and headed to school. i was walking up the steps to school and saw dan and serena making out.

"hey, made up i see?"

"yes if course," dan said.

"just a little tip, the walls behind the school are more comfortable," i told them.

"thanks elle, appreciate it," serena said to me with an awkward smile on.

"no problem s." i walked through the halls of school and went to my locker. i opened it and felt a presence next to me. i looked next to me and saw nate.

"hey," i said as i continued what i was doing.

"i know everything that happened last night was really weird. but i have a problem."

"what is it?"

"so i got home last night, and my mom found the coke. my dad told her it was mine, so now they want me to go to rehab."

"just tell me you told your mom that it was your dads."

"no, but i did talk to my dad. he said that this will all blow over and he just tried it but it's not his thing."

"nate, coke isn't something that you just try and get over. chances are this is serious and something needs to be done."

"yeah you're right."

"also nate, this would have bee the perfect conversation for blair. you need to promise me that you will talk to her."

"okay," he said.

"promise," i repeated. blair came over to us.

"promise what?" she asked.

"uh, promise that i will come up with a better apology than this," he said pulling chocolates out of his bag.
