***3rd PoV***

Y/n slowly folded the clothes placing them into the basket. She smoothed the fabric in her hands, as she finished. She took the basket and walked out of the dinghy landry room.

She walked through the small kitchen, reminding herself to make dinner for Ms. Havord.

She got to the dimly lit bedroom with 7 total beds in it. She laid each pair of clothes on the bed. Each bed only had about 1 pair of clothes including her own.

She looked out the window to see all the other kids. She was by far the oldest. At age fourteen (or whatever age Marinette is) the second oldest had to be Tyler, who was ten. Y/n was basically incharge of taking care of everybody, including there caretaker Ms. Havord.

Ms. Havord didn't bother the children. At all. She basically let them fend for themselves. The only thing Ms Havord was around for was the adoptions, to make it official.

Quickly after more kids where admitted in, Y/n saw the growing mess and decided to take charge. She had been at the orphanage for, almost her whole life. She didn't expect to get adopted for every year that went by. She was okay with it though. Who eles would take care of the kids.

She glanced at the clock and the walked into the kitchen. She made some spaghetti since it was relatively easy to make. She then toasted some bread and slathered it in butter. Putting a majority of the spaghetti on one plate for Ms. Havord and most of the buttered bread, she walked to her room.

Every meal, Ms. Havord demanded the most. So Y/n gave her what she wanted, always trying to save enough for everybody eles. Ms. Havord thought of everybody like servants and sent all the children chore lists they had to get done at the end of the day. Even there youngest, Evan, who was only 2. The chores ranged from washing the toliets, to sweeping the basement. Normally the kids would have no time to play, but Y/n took all their chores for herself.

Carrying the large plate she opened the door to Ms. Havord's room. The floor was cloaked in clothes and sheets and the room was dark.

"Leave the food," a gravely voice said under multiple blankets.

Y/n put the food on the bedside table.

"Are all the chores done wench,"

"Yes," Y/n said.

"Good," she growled and then pushed all the covers away, "A familys coming a in 20 minutes, make sure the kids look acceptable, girl,"

Y/n nodded fast and left the room.

She went outside yelling,"Everyone, its an Adopt Day!"

All the kids stopped what they where doing.

"Really," Ariel said. The 4 year old clung to her stuffed rabbit.

"Yeah," Y/n said smiling and led them inside.

She got everyone seated and put food on their plates.

The children quickly ate it up and washed their faces and hands.

(Quick notice, I've got no clue how this adoption thing works)

They gathered at the front on the building and Ms. Havord was already there.

The children ignored her angry grumblings, as they stared at the door with a mix of excitement and dread.

One of them was going to be gone. They'd never see the person again. But atleast a lucky girl or boy got adopted.

A clocked barely struck 4:20 when the front door opened.
