Chapter 2

                I was running through the halls so I wouldn't be late. I bumped into someone and fell.

"Sorry" I said

Then looking up I realized who it was

"Actually, I take my sorry back"

I couldn't believe that he was back. After all these years. I wasn't going to let him trick like he did in middle school

"Well." He said putting his hand on his heart pretending to look hurt.

"Is that anyway to greet me?" I ignored his comment and kept walking through the halls

"Come back here!!" He screamed

"No. Jake just leaves me alone." I said.

"I'm not the same person as I was in middle school" He exclaimed

"Yea right. Im finding that a little to hard to believe" I said

With that I just walked away

Yes it was Jake. Tyler's best friend together they would torture me in middle school. Used to laugh when I cried. Worst of all they toyed with my feelings. Jake asked me out once when we were in eighth grade. I used to think he was 'so cute'. I gladly accepted.

When we went on the date I was really having fun. He took me to the fair. He won me a teddy bear. Then it happened. When we sat on the bench he gave Tyler a thumbs up, I relized what they were doing and tried to run away, but soon I was covered in otmeal, spaghetti, and expired milk.

I ran away crying and never spoke to Jake again. I was heartbroken.  I was young and foolish. I wouldn't let that happen again.

Even though he said he has changed I find that a little too hard to believe. After all the pain and tramua he had caused me I couldn't get over it.

I thought he liked me.

I already missed first period and as the bell rung I stood up and walked to my next class. Health.

Tyler was in my health class and I didn't really want to see him after I saw Jake.

"Jenna, where were you first period?" Tyler asked "Having some fun with a boy, hmmm?"

He and his friends started to laugh.

"I'm not in the mood Tyler." I replied " Not after seeing your buddy, Jake"

"What are you talking about?"  Just then Jake walked in. Speak of the devil.

They were distracted by Jake and I took my seat.

" Good Morning, Class" Ms. Kerr said

"Good Morning Ms. Kerr" The whole class said

"I see we have a new student today. Please come up front" She said pointing to Jake

Jake walked up to the front of the classroom.

"Hi. My name is Jake Hills and I'm new ok well bye" Jake said

"Very interesting. Welcome to the class Jake.

" So today we will be working on a new project." Ms. Kerr said and the class groaned

"No I think some of you might actually like this one" Everyone perked up.

" the project of marriage" She said

"Oh Joy" I said sarcastically

" Let pair up"

"Ok let's see"

" Guys choose girls"  Ms. Kerr said and it was a mad dash

Jake walked up to me

"You're  my partner" he said
