It's my fifth year at Hogwarts and my fourth year being madam Pomfreys apprentice, it was a miracle that Dumbledore accepted my proposition but was just as long that I continued my core classes at Hogwarts. So, any spare time I had I would be in the hospital wing tending to patients with broken bones or some awful spell that had jokingly be placed upon someone. It's been especially busy as the Triwizard tournament has just begun. Ever since I was a child, I wanted to heal others, and when I received a letter from Hogwarts, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I was sorted into Hufflepuff in my first year, the strangest thing is I am the only Hufflepuff in fifth year, I know seems impossible, but I guess anything is possible here.

Being the only Hufflepuff in fifth year is agonizing, I never really made any friends and some days madam Pomfrey seems to be the only one I'm close to, every other fourth year seems to be so confident and outgoing; I would love friends. I try to be friendly with anyone who talks to me, but they never seem to stick around long enough to even get to know me.

"Marie" madam Pomfrey whispered nudging me awake,

"you must learn to sleep in your own dormitory" she gave me a stern look

"oh, so sorry, I must have lost track of the time" I quickly gathered my belongings and shuffled out the door giving madam Pomfrey a wave

The halls were so calm at night, my favorite kind of halls. I softly hummed a lullaby as I passed old paintings hung up on the stone walls, I finally made it to my dormitory as a tapped  the barrels quietly and crawled through the opening, no Hufflepuff was awake at this time so I quickly I scuffled up the stairs and clambered into my soft bed with my favorite patchwork quilt and drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

I awoke to the sound of birds chirping outside the circular wooden window, since I didn't share a room with other girls and often woke up early. I stumbled over to the trunk at the end of my bed and pulled out my clothes, I quickly changed into my long denim overalls, white vintage blouse and granny boots and made my way to the common room. Today was the Hogsmeade trip, I usually skip these trips to spend time in the hospital wing but madam Pomfrey had forced me to go today and I couldn't say no.

The common room was sprinkled with a few people here and there but was still empty enough for me to sit by the cozy fireplace, The Hufflepuff dorm was the most welcoming homey space, plants were hung around the room and it smelt of earth and honey.

"going to Hogsmeade?" a 6th year girl with piercing blue eyes asked

I smiled a nodded, she gave a warm smile back and strolled over to her friends.

-    Time skip –

After breakfast we had to report to filch to get our name marked off to be able to go to Hogsmeade, for some reason this would always stress me out as going in a carriage full of people I didn't know was like a nightmare. Luckily, I was put in a carriage full of Slytherin girls who knew each other so I didn't have to engage in any form of conversation I sat there contentedly breathing in the winter air.

"were here" the girls in the carriage giggled and hopped off running to honey duke's sweetshop a popular place for many students at Hogwarts.  I found myself walking over the freshly fallen snow in the direction of Madam Puddifoot's tea shop, as I opened the door I was overwhelmed with the smell of mint and lavender

"well hello there, need any tea?" a short middle-aged woman came tootling from behind the counter as I can only assume was Madam Puddifoot.

"hello, yes actually don't suppose you have any medicinal teas" I smiled warmly.

"Indeed, I do" she gestured for me to follow

She guided me to a small corner of the room, full of dried herbs and flowers

"now I have teas that can help with a simple headache to the worst broken bone"

"hm, I think the broken bone tea sounds quite useful" I replied taking time to soak in my surroundings, from the exposed timber beams in the roof to the old looking green cabinets storing fine teacups and teapots.

"won't be a second dearie" she disappeared behind a screen with flowers on it

I had peered at all the tea labels

"sleepy tea, tea for sadness, tea for aches, tea for anxiety" I lingered on the last one and grabbed the jar from the shelf studying the ingredients

"would you like some of that as well" the woman had re appeared placing a little bag of the broken bone tea on the front desk

"if it's no trouble" she grabbed the jar and hurried behind the screen again

I walked over to the desk admiring the small orange flowers painted on

"alrighty dear here is your tea" she plopped the other small satchel of herbs on the desk, I paid her and stepped out of the shop the cold are once again embracing me.

I turned the corner to see Hogwarts students crowded in a circle shouting and crying out, I ran closer trying to see what had happened

"Is anyone medically trained?" a guy was shouting

Without thinking I yelled back "I am what's wrong?"

Heads turned to face me as I pushed through the crowd to see a boy with a bone sticking out of his leg and blood pooling staining the white snow around him.

Instantly I fell to my knees quickly tying up my curly brown hair and going through the procedures I have with other patients; this was quite possibly the worst broken bone I had ever seen. I started yelling at people to get me water and cloth all I could do was try and stop the blood, he had already passed out due to the pain and blood loss. I ripped off my sleeves and secured the bone with a donut knot, two girls had fainted due to the scene, but they would have to wait until I could get this boy back to the hospital wing.

A carriage had finally showed up, and a few others helped me carry him into it and with that we were racing back to Hogwarts. The boy's eyes shot open and he sat up quickly took one look at his leg and fell back down hitting his head in the process.

"you will be ok" I murmured still tending to his wound

By the time we got to Hogwarts madam Pomfrey and a few others were already there with a stretcher.

"be careful with him" I gently asked of the people carrying the stretcher they nodded and walked quickly to the hospital wing.

"what happened" Madam Pomfrey asked

"I don't know exactly how long or what he did, but when I showed up, he had already lost quite a lot of blood" Madam Pomfrey just nodded her head a walked quickly to the hospital wing. I lagged as the situation was still catching up to me

"Dios mío" I whispered in Spanish as I entered the room seeing the boy's white sheets were stained blood red

"Marielle get me the bone repair" I obeyed and grabbed the large jug pouring it quickly into a cup and rushing over to the bed. Madam Pomfrey poured the foul-tasting liquid down his throat and in a couple of seconds the bone was back in place, the skin not healed but at least he was no longer losing as much blood. He was still passed out from pain and shock, but his features looked less contorted, I quickly scanned his face as Madam Pomfrey went to get more bed sheets. He looked around my age with blonde curly hair and freckles, his ears stuck out making him look like an elf, he was very tall and quite muscular to many girls he would seem very attractive.

He groaned a fluttered his eyes open to reveal his deep brown pools of eyes "is this heaven" He Said dazed

"I'm afraid not this is the hospital wing" I chuckled softly

"really, I thought you were an angel" he whispered and fell into a deep sleep

I couldn't help but smile, the poor boy was out of it.
