Chapter 2

The North, where all the beast resides. It is also the place where they resides.

Our mortal enemies.

The Night Academy is an academy similar to us. They train magical users to enhance their abilities and teach them ways to use it in a proper manner.

The only difference between us is that their school is ran by Moon Seekers- Similar to our Elders, but their main source of power is the moon.

Our school, The Sunlight Academy, has our main source, the sun.

In terms of strength, we can't deny that they're above us. Pero hindi ibig sabihin ay mas mahina kami. Since the North is a place filled with magical beasts, they were able to train with actual monsters. Unlike us, we train by ourselves and rely on textbooks.

We never got along with them. Masyado kasi silang mayabang.

Every year, we have an event where we go to the Central Lands. We call this event The Great Battle. It's a competition between the greatest academies from each lands.

Each school with the most powerful students are placed in an arena to fight. The school with the most points wins.

The East and the North has the biggest tension amongst all. Masyado kasing competitive ang both sides. Our prides are so high that even the heavens can't see the end.

Last year, hindi kami nanalo dahil nagkaroon ng problema ang captain namin. Dahil doon, mas lumalim ang galit ng East sa North.

But now, they need our help? Ang kapal naman ng mga mukha nila.

But Elder Muel is right, The Ferral Shadow Monsters aren't a joke. We can't let our hatred be the cause of thousands of deaths.

Kaya ngayon, nagiimpake na ako ng mga dadalhin ko. Nakangusong pinapanood ako ni Chian na nakaupo sa higaan ko. Chian is my roommate.

"I really don't want to go."

Natawa ako. "We don't have a choice. It's a sacred order."

Mas lalo siyang nag inarte. "Argh! Bakit ba kasi ako kasama?" Humiga siya at tumitig sa kisame.

"Because they need us," I replied.

She pouted. "I hate this," She sighed. Nagsimula siyang gumulong gulong sa higaan dahil sa inis. Napailing ako.

"Stop being childish and pack your things. Malapit na dumating ung train." sabi ko bago i-zip ang luggage na dadalhin.

I didn't want this too.

Soon enough, pinagtipon na kami sa front gate para hintayin ang train na magdadala sa amin sa magical portal.

It didn't take long before the train appeared from thin air. It's a train that travels through dimensions, that's why kahit saan ay pwede itong lumabas.

Me, along with other top students from each class, boarded the train without saying anything.

Katabi ko si Jess habang si Chian naman ay nasa kabilang cab, kasama ang class niya.

Jess is from the Assassins Class, she's one of the leading students that can easily take out 10 people in a blink on an eye.

Chian is from the Energy Class, she can shift the energy around an object to make it move. In short, telekinesis. She can easily lift two houses using her mind.

I sighed. Tumigin ako sa labas ng bintana at pinikit ang aking mga mata. What kind of place is awaiting us?

Biglang may sumagi sa isip ko kaya agad kong naimulat ang mata ko.

Fuck.
