Chapter Three, Additions to the Pack

It had been two months since they had moved to Forks and Harry had got lost. During that time they often spent time at Billy's so Harry and Jacob could get to know each other better, they thought it would be easier to go to Billy's so if Harry got too nervous they could leave. Although Harry got on quite well with Jacob and the other residents of the Quillete tribe he was still rather weary and shy around them which was the result of the Dursley's treatment and what had happened to him at Hogwarts. During the last two months the pack had grown as the other boys and one girl, Leah had shifted and turned into wolves as the vampire threat increased the result of which Harry Clearwater had been injured and had been rushed to Remus who luckily was able to save him.

Now though it was time for Remus, Sirius and Harry to learn of the vampire threat that loomed all around them and the history of the tribe especially as Harry was Jacob's imprint or mate which ever you prefer. "Harry!" Remus shouted up the stairs. "Are you alright? We're leaving for Billy's in five minutes." As soon as he finished speaking Remus and Sirius who were stood in the hallway waiting for their son, heard him exit his room and come down the stairs slowly. "What's the matter Pup?" Sirius asked seeing the tears and fear in his emerald eyes. Hoping he wasn't still thinking he had to earn his keep, he really wanted to go back to England and hex those blasted Dursley's to kingdom come. "I'm scared." Harry muttered feeling slightly ashamed he felt that way but he couldn't help it.

Ever since his treatment at the hands of his uncle he was scared of new people especially people who were bigger than him. "Oh pup." Sirius sighed pulling his son into his arms. "You have nothing to be frightened about Remus and I would never let anyone hurt you I promise. And Jacob is your mate he would rather die than hurt you. I know this all strange and new to you. But think of it this way; the pack is just like Remus they all have a mate who is made just for them. They would do anything to keep their mate happy and that means Jacob just being friends with you for now. That's all Remus and I were when we first met. Being mates doesn't mean you have to do anything right away, Remus and I would prefer you didn't we don't want to be grandparents yet." Sirius said making Harry laugh which was slightly muffled by his dad's chest.

"Thanks dad." Harry said feeling slight more happier now as he snuggled further into his dad's arms. Sirius smiled holding Harry tight to him as he placed a kiss to his curly raven hair. "Anything for you Pup. Anything for you." Sirius told him seriously.
"Cub," Remus called gaining his cub's attention. "If you're still feeling nervous later we will leave the bomb fire early and head home we can always ask Billy to tell us at a later date." Remus assured as he brought Harry into a tight hug kissing the top of his head. "Thank you papa." Harry whispered. "I love you and dad." Remus and Sirius shared a soft look as they had a group hug with their son. "We love you so much to Harry." They both said back just as softly.

"Hello Sirius, Remus, Harry it's good to see you all again. How're you Harry?" Billy asked the young boy kindly who looked rather terrified after asking how his parents were. "I'm okay thank you Sir." Harry said softly. Billy wheeled himself closer slowly so as not to startle the young boy. "Harry, I've told you there's no need to call me Sir just call me Billy, okay?" He asked kindly. Harry nodded his head muttering an apology when Jacob, Seth, Quil, Embry and Leah raced up to them. "Hi Ry?" Seth exclaimed excited to see his friend pulling him gently into a hug, Harry stiffening instantly, which everyone caught. Leah quickly went to intervene before Harry could get upset and Jacob could get mad at her brother but before she could pull Seth off of him Harry returned the hug hesitant at first before he fully relaxed into it. It seemed Seth would be good for the shy boy.

"You okay Harry?" Jacob asked concerned, Seth taking the hint and let Harry go. "I'm okay." Harry smiled actually sounding like he meant it this time. "Come on quick before Paul hoovers all the food and finds the food I hid for you Harry!" Seth exclaimed pulling Harry by the arm to where he had hid the food. Jacob was at war with himself as he scowled after Seth as he pulled his mate away from him but he was happy Harry was getting some food as he was far too thin. "You know Seth only sees Harry as a brother right Jacob?" Leah asked defending her brother.

Jacob sighed running his hands through his short hair. "No, I know he does. I just don't like being away from him." He groaned. Billy laughed clapping his son on the arm. "That would be the bond. Don't worry the more Harry feels comfortable with you, with everyone really, it will settle. Give it time Jake." Billy told his son firmly.
"Harry has been through a lot Jacob." Sirius told the young boy. "He's watched his parents die in front of him, been abused by his relatives and has been used as a pawn to fight a Dark Lord and been betrayed by his so called friends. His trust in people has been broken but he's getting there just show him you'll always be there that's all he needs and wants." Sirius told them glossing over what had happened to his son.

"There's more isn't there?" Embry asked concerned looking over to his friends who were beckoning them over pointing to the food Seth had hid. "There is but that's a story for another time." Remus answered looking at his son who was laughing with Seth as they made their way over to them sitting on the log behind Harry, Jake and Seth as Billy started the tale of the tribe and the cold ones. They hoped that the tribe could help bring back their happy son back but only time would tell.
