Chapter 10

Hyunjin was hurt.

Hyunjin: Well I have to leave. It was nice seeing you sunbae. Bye guys.

Ah Hyun: Hyunjin...

He ignored her and left home.

He got multiple messages from Ah Hyun. But he didn't look at them.

Hyunjin: I'm disappointed....

It was the next day. Hyunjin sat in his seat. Ah Hyun went up to him.

Ah Hyun: You didn't answer my texts...

Hyunjin: I got busy...

Ah Hyun: Busy up to the point where you couldn't text me back?

Hyunjin: Let's not do this here.

Jeongin came.

Jeongin: Whats with the tension?

Hyunjin: Nothing.

Jeongin: This isn't anything.

Hyunjin: It's whatever.

Jeongin: I heard Ha Min came back yesterday. I heard it from Shi Woo's brother this morning.

Hyunjin: I have to go to the bathroom.

Hyunjin left.

Ah Hyun: I'll be back.

She stopped Hyunjin.

Ah Hyun: Why are you acting like this?

Hyunjin: Ah Hyun, we need to break up.

Ah Hyun: Break up? Why?

Hyunjin: Ha Min simply asked you if we were dating, you couldn't even say yes. You looked like you wanted to say no. I don't want to date someone who isn't even sure of their feelings.

Ah Hyun: I like you though...

Hyunjin: If you liked me, why couldn't you say yes then? Why didn't you answer. I said yes, but why couldn't you? I'm not mad at you or him. But I hope you can understand what you want before you hurt someone else.

Hyunjin left, and Ah Hyun was hurt.

They bell rung and she headed to class.

Hyunjin missed the whole day of school.

Jeongin: Whats the point on coming if he's not going to show up?

Sae Ron: Maybe something is wrong?

Ah Hyun: I'm leaving.

Ah Hyun left.

Jeongin: Something's wrong.

Hyunjin was home. He was in bed. Thinking about what happened last night.

Hyunjin: Okay. I'm not going to think about it anymore. It's whatever.

Ha Min and the group were at the dessert place.

Kim Na: How was the states?

Ha Min: It was fun. Less stressful. It just sucks that I don't see you guys often.

Shi Woo: When are you going back?

Ha Min: In a few days. Just wanted to spend some time with my parents and friends.

Bo Reum: Well we missed you.

Do Na: Well since you're here, should we go out again? Another camping night. It's been too long since we've all been together.

Ha Min: Let's do it.

Gi Hyun: Yeah!

Bo Min: How about tonight?

They went to the park behind Gi Hyun's place again.

Ha Min: Just like old times.

Shi Woo: I miss these times.

Ha Min: Me too. I remember the one time Shi Woo, Bo Reum, and Gi Hyun got drunk.

Gi Hyun: I remember the broken lie detector.

Kim Na: So whats this time then?

Do Na: How about never have I ever. Five fingers, place one down if you've done it.

Bo Min: Sounds like fun.

They all put up five fingers.

Bo Reum: I'll go first! Never have I ever liked my best friend.

They all placed a finger down.

Kim Na: Okay. Never have I ever got into a fight with my friend.

Everyone except Bo Min put a finger down.

Bo Min: Never have I ever stole anything from my parents.

Gi Hyun: Thats not fair.

Bo Reum: Put it down.

Gi Hyun put a finger down.

Shi Woo: Never have I ever lied to someone I cared about.

They all looked at each other. And there was an awkward silence.
