Chapter XXI

3rd Person's perspective

"Senku," Kohaku called, trying to put the magnet together." "We may have failed to make magnets." 

Senku looked at her in a panicked state. 

"They won't go near each other! Let alone stick!" She exclaimed. "They're being repelled by some mysterious force.

Senku laughed at her, trying to get the magnet to stick together like they should be doing. "You have the poles backward." He muttered, approaching the blonde female and flipped the magnet over and voila, It got stuck together. 

Powerful magnets acquired.

"Whoah!" Suika exclaimed. "They're so strong!"

"Now we can make that crazy 'electricity' thing, right?" Chrome exclaimed, remembering the roadmap Senku drew.

"Senku-Chan," Gen called. "Are you making a thermal generator?" He asked. "Wind turbines? Don't tell me you're making a nuclear reactor." 

Senku looked at him with a face while poking his ear. "muscle-powered generator." He answered, imagining buff people pushing a one-ton wheel.

"Of course." Gen said with an all-knowing face. "I should've known."

Meanwhile, On (Y/n)'s side, she was coughing violently. It was her first time in three thousand seven hundred years. This was nothing like what happened while she was still hiding it.

"It's gotten worse." She smiled sadly, in a fetus position, tearing up a little. "I might die before we could even make medicine." 

Then, after that, she heard footsteps coming towards her. She opened the door of the shed she's in and saw the five of them back with a pair of magnets stuck on each other. She rushed outside and greeted all of them cheerfully. "Welcome back!" She exclaimed with a close-eyed smile as if nothing happened.

Kohaku smiled. "We're back." She said with a soft tone in her voice.

Senku ruffled her hair and went to Chrome's shed, getting materials for the generator.

The female scientist stared at him while holding her head, blushing at his gesture.

On the same day, They melted a lot of copper and poured it into a mold.

"Whack the hell out of the copper sheet and pile it down into a disk." He said having the voice of an exhausted man.

"Watcha makin'?" (Y/n) asked cutely, looking at the working people in front of her, not even noticing Senku's swollen face.

"We're making a generator." Chrome said, Still pouring down the melted copper into the mold.

She made a face that a certain female would have every time she gets confused or nervous. "Oh, you mean . . ." She trailed off, not even finishing her sentence.

When it was cooled down, they all whacked it with a primitive hammer, making it thinner.

Senku carved it into a disk.

"Check it out!" Chrome exclaimed, holding corundum on his hands. "I'm going to file it down with corundum, that tough rock I showed you before!"

"The second strongest mineral after diamond." Senku commented, still having that voice. "I like your collection, Chrome."

(Y/n) only noticed this when he looked at Senku, about to question his tone of voice. But then stopped when she saw his bloated face and now, she's trying to hold back her laughter, snickering like mad while covering her mouth.
