It was almost quarter to 1 pm when we decide to finally continue our tour.
We are once again sitting next to each other inside our tricycool... can't help saying our because this is ours for today and I'm really having a good time. Wish I could bring this cool thing back in Manila but that would be impossible so I'm enjoying it as much as I can.
I wore my sunglasses as I enjoy the cool breeze welcoming us every second as we peacefully pass through every inch of this long way going to Chamantad-Tiñan viewpoint, one of the most highest point here in Sabtang island.
I glance at Jho. Ang layo ng mga tingin nya sa gilid and parang she's lost on a very deep reverie... or maybe she's just enjoying the view?
Being the makulit one, I playfully nudged her elbow kaya agad siyang napalingon sakin. I instantly gave her a smile.
"Okay ka lang?" tanong ko.
Agad siyang napatango at sinuklian yung ngiti ko. "Okay na okay." sagot niya.
My smile widen. "Are you excited also? Because I am. Truth be told, yung viewpoint yata yung reason why I wanted to go here in Batanes."
"Talaga?" medyo natawa siya.
"Yeah, I think it's one of a kind eh."
"Of course it is." Inayos niya yung buhok niya. "If you'll pay attention to everything, you will realize that everything is one of a kind in this earth."
"You're right." Napatango ako sa realization na yon bigla. "Everything is one of a kind."
"Like this viewpoint, you wouldn't be able to find this elsewhere... except here in Batanes."
As if on a cue, biglang huminto yung tricycle namin and I realized that we finally arrived at the viewing point.
"Let's go?" pag aaya ni Jho with a smile on her face. She's looking at me na parang sinasabi niya na we are in this together.
Napangiti ako. "Let's go."
Nauna siyang lumabas ng tricycle at agad naman akong sumunod sa kanya. It was a very windy day and feeling ko kaya akong tangayin ng hangin, but it didn't stop or even lessen for quite a bit my excitement.
"Holy shit. This is like a dream!" I blurted out, totally in full awe.
It was like walking inside a painting. Everything looks so damn perfect.. the rolling hills, the small trail that leads to a dramatic seascape, the sky, the ocean, the view, even the wind... everything is fucking perfect.
"Wow. I can't believe something as perfect as this exist." I said, still can't able to process everything that's laid infront of my very own eyes.
Now I understand why this place is the most iconic place in Batanes. I actually think the word perfect is an understatement to describe this beautiful scenic spot.
"I told you it's one of a kind." Jho said, she was also in full awe.
"Totally one of a kind indeed." absorbed na absorbed kong pagsang-ayon sa kanya.
"Tara! Let's get closer at the end of the trail!" After niya sabihin yon, bigla na siyang nagtatakbo palayo. "Bilis, Bea!"
"O-oy wait!"
Agad ko siyang sinundan. She was laughing pa nga for leaving me behind and parang inaasar asar pa niya ako for being mabagal.
"Ang bagal Bea! Bilis!" sigaw niya sakin.
"Ang lakas kaya ng hangin!" depensa ko, which is true, sobrang lakas talaga ng hangin kaya I took off my sunglasses.
When I finally reached the end of the trail, nakapamewang siyang nakatingin sakin.
