It had been a week since Encantra and his tribe had been unearthed. None of the other serpentine generals were comfortable with his presence, least of all Pythor. Everyone knew the Hexai were capable of dark, cruel magics, but the extent of their power was all but unknown. So naturally, when the mad general offered to help in the serpentine's plans to terrorize an amusement park and recover the first silver fangblade, all of them were skeptical, and after much argument, it was agreed that Encantra would only intervene if they needed help.
Pythor rubbed his forehead. They needed help. The four ninja had somehow learned of their plans, and were already working to foil them, and doing so successfully. The old Anacondrai was so wrapped up in emergency planning he barely noticed when he felt a cold, clammy hand grab his shoulder. "GAH!" The purple serpent turned to see it was Encantra who had grabbed him, which did not put him any more at ease. "oh...ahem...Encantra...what do you need?" The black serpent grins, his rotting teeth making Pythor cringe and shift away slightly. "You don't need to bullshit me. You need my help, no matter if you want it or not." Pythor huffs, before retorting, "and what exactly do you plan to do? This plan is pretty much busted, we're not gonna get the fangblade." Encantra cackles silently, slithering backwards. "You'll see..." Pythor swallows hard and mops sweat from his forehead. He didn't like the sound of that at all.
Cole, Kai, Zane and Jay were making a hasty exfiltration from the amusement park, Silver fangblade in hand. Kai speaks up, grinning under his mask. "Hey guys, is it just me, or was that too easy?" Zane interjects, giving Kai a stern look. "Kai, I would not recommend getting cocky. We are not the only ones trying to get out of here, many serpentine will try to stop us."
Jay rolled his eyes. "Yeah, but they've all been chumps so far! wake me up when they manage to do...something...dangerous?" The four ninjas were forced to a dead stop as four civilians jumped up to block their path. Something wasn't right here. Cole spoke up. "um....guys, sorry, no autographs, we're trying to-" He was cut off as one of the civillians roared and lunged at him, trying to bite his throat. "What the-?!" the other ninja were soon occupied as the "civillians" lunged at them, growling, slobbering and gnashing their teeth. Their skin was grey, their eyes hollow. Jay speaks up. "uh...guys? I don't think we can get past these things without...ya know..." "Killing them," Kai finishes. "Yeah, this ain't a good situation, but I'm not sure these guys are even alive." The ninjas, now aware of the grisly task they'd have to perform, went to work, hacking and slashing at the undead civilians. There was no blood, only sickening craclkes of dried skin and brittle bones. Zane looks down at the corpses when they had finished their brutal task. "They...they've been drained of all their blood...who would do such a horrible thing?" A dry, heavy chuckle approached them. The ninjas look up to see Encantra casually slithering towards them, staff in one hand, and in the other, a levitating ball of blood. "awwww...you killed my puppets? That was extraordinarily mean of you." Cole grits his teeth, stepping forward, gripping his scythe tightly. "Bastard! You stole their blood didn't you?!" Encantra purses his lips, tapping his chin with the tip of his staff, before grinning. "Did I? Ohhh! seems I did! Why, did you want it back? Well then HERE YOU GO!" The mad serpent screams in delight as he thrusts his free hand forward, sending the blood ball to the ninja. It exploded, coating all four of them in blood. Then, Encantra muttered a spell of his dark arts, causing the blood to begin to eat through the four ninja's clothes and flesh. They scream and writhe, desperately trying to get the corrosive blood off of them. Sensei Wu, hearing their screams, quickly directs Mira to help him rescue them and take them back to their dojo for healing. The agonized ninja were scooped up and carried to safety, but dropped the silver fangblade in the process...
Pythor sat with the other generals in a moment of unease. They had all heard the screams of the ninja. It was only up to the imagination what Encantra had done to them. The black serpent slithers to them, tossing the silver fangblade into the dirt. "I believe you were looking for this?" The other serpentine generals backed up with a slight murmur of fear. Pythor picked it up and dusted it off, and the six serpentine generals went back to their staging area, in silence. Pythor glanced back to Encantra, who was grinning and humming to himself. The Anacondrai pondered this sadistic, unfeeling and dark-humored serpent, and he came to realize that he didn't give a damn how dark his magic was. Encantra alone had accomplished what the five tribes had almost failed to do. Looking ahead, Pythor smiled faintly. Maybe having the dark wizard wasn't so bad, after all....
(AUTHOR'S NOTE: nope, still not dead, just tired from work. So guess I'll post another chapter in a year and a half XD)
