Again, just copied from scrivener. Enjoy!
I awoke to someone calling my name. I slowly open my eyes to glance around my purple filled room, confused when I see no one. Out of the corner of my eye I see a flash The voice quiets after another minute. I dismiss it as my imagination and push myself out of bed. The sweet smell of pancakes lead me downstairs. "Good morning" I tell my parents with a yawn. My mom smiles and says
"You slept late, it's almost noon. Going so late to Timeless Tattoos make you tired?' I'm shocked by her words. Noon?! I'm usually up no later than eight am.
"Must have, you know I'm not a late sleeper." I sit down and smear my pancakes with syrup, butter and whipped cream. I shove large forkfuls into my mouth before my dad scolds me
"Ava, slow down. Your food isn't going anywhere." I open my mouth to protest, but he cuts me off, "And don't speak with your mouth full" I swallow quickly before saying,
"I'm hungry!" My mom laughs softly as she says
"Thats what happens when you sleep in till noon, and dad is right, the food isn't going anywhere. Chew." I huff dramatically before replying,
"fine." Before going back to my food, chewing slightly slower than before.
I quickly finish breakfast and climb up the soft, carpeted stairs back to my room.
"Ava!" Someone says. I look around but see nobody. "Ava! Ugh, Bea I don't think she can hear us," I look again. Still no one. I quickly get annoyed and say
"Yes, I can hear you. Where are you?"
"We are in your head Ava." The same voice says
"Yes very funny," I say dryly. "Seriously where are you?"
"We really are in your head Ava." A second voice says "I am Beatrice, but you can call me Bea. This is Eva." Ok, so supposedly there are voices in my head. Hallucination? Probably.
"So how exactly are you in my head?" I ask quickly,
"You're tattoo stupid, you really couldn't put two and two together and see that we started the day after you got it? Doesn't it feel weird?" I'm slightly startled by how annoyed Eva is over a simple question.
"Eva!" Bea scolds, "Be nice! She has never heard of this before." Her attention turns to me, "I'm really sorry about her, she gets grumpy when ever there is a new bearer"
"Whats a bearer?" I ask
"The person with the tattoo." Bea replies
"Both of you need to focus! We are running out of time! The mission will come soon, we have to explain as much as we can before it starts or she has no chance!"
"Yes you're right. Ava listen closely," Bea says. " You must complete whatever we tell you to do. If you don't you will be trapped in the tattoo with us. Be careful, this is all a game to him. He will want you trapped. When you figure out what to do you-" She gasps "He chose me. He is coming, Eva is under the trance. Good lu-" Her voice changes, growing deeper and darker the calming yellow of Bea in the corner of my eye fades "Hush Beatrice. Hello Ava"
"Wh-who are you?" As hard as I try, my voice trembles, betraying my fear.
"I havem many names darling," he says coldly. "The controller, the black monster, the tattoo master, and the wretched name they called me before." He snarls as he says the last name. Then continues. "No time to waste, Beatrice, the clue." The voice that comes out is not quite Bea and not quite the tattoo master.
"Find the one without a clue, with her you need to start anew. Past mistakes will come alive, you'll need her to stay alive." it says.
"Good luck Ava, I will be interested to see how you play in my game." With a dark laugh he is gone. The strange thing is, the colors of Bea and Eva were too.
