☆The Discord of Dreamers

For those of you who do not know what Discord is, it's an easy to use, easy to sign up app/website used for chatting with others. It was originally designed for gamers, but has expanded to where many communities use it.

Dreamland uses it as a space for all Wattpaders -- not just the Dreamers of our community -- to use. If you do not want to join a book club but want to be in a place with other writers -- or even if you do join our clubs -- then we strongly suggest joining this.

Most people who join find a very friendly, open place where they feel comfortable. We have spots for writing help, a place where people write together for a select amount of time which has led to a lot of productivity for our members, places to set up read exchanges, as well as non-writing related areas like random chatter, a spot for music, a center for fandoms, whatever.

The discord is meant to help facilitate community and friendship among its members.

If it seems like a place you would like to join, feel free to shoot us a DM. Most of the clubs also ask if you want to join the discord when you are signing up.

Below is a list of all our categories and channels, as well as their descriptions, as of October 16th, 2020. We are excluding the areas that are simply to assist with getting to know and move around the discord, but please know that those are there!  We just want to give people intrigued by the discord an idea of the fun things there.  Yes, we have a lot of channels, but know you can mute them or make it so you cannot even see them if you so wish.

Dream Support

• #dream-team-signal -- a place to go when you need to ask or get help from a dream team  member

• #server-suggestions -- a place to suggest ideas for the server

• #dream-tickets -- a place where you can create a ticket and open a private channel for you and the mods in case you are having any issues

• #break-zone -- a place for people who need a break from DL without leaving

Sleep Talk

• #random-chatter -- a place to talk about anything and everything, the moderate pace chat

• #overflow-chat -- a place that works as 2nd random when random has too many people

• #slow-chat -- a place to talk about anything and everything, the slower place to chat with a 7s slow mode enabled (a person can only send a message every 7 seconds)

• #new-chat -- a place where people who are just joining the server can go and talk, but are removed after 30 days of being in the server, only New Dreams and Mentors here

• #dream-worthy-moments -- a place where special moments happening around the server is saved by Starboard bot
