✸ 𝗦𝗛𝗞𝟰𝟴 .ᐟ ( an acronym for SOUTH KOREA 48 ) is the brand partnership between SMX Records and Kyoo Studios. The agreement was established in 2005 by SM Entertainment's founder Lee Soo-Man and AKB48's producer Yasushi Akimoto; although the first group under the brand was officially introduced and started its official activities almost a decade later, in 2013. The brand encompasses three different girl groups, totaling twenty one artists.
SHK48 has had a significant cultural impact both in their respective countries and internationally, earning numerous accolades and the honorifics "Nation's Girl Groups" and "Asia's Number One Groups". Their commercial influence on the Asian economy has received extensive attention in the press and in financial markets, and their impact have played an indubitable role in the mending of China-Japan-South Korea's trilateral relations. SHK48 have sold over 200 million records worldwide, cumulatively under the brand, as of 2023.

In 2018, the president of South Korea, Moon Jae-In, honored SHK48 Team S with the Order of Cultural Merit due to their noteworthy contribution in spreading Korean culture and language. Meanwhile, the director of the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange cited SHK48 Team S as a major contributor and one of the country's most talented idol groups who have "largely promoted K-Pop" around the world.
