Chapter 2

Macy's POV

I found my striped shirt after half of an hour being wasted looking for it. I was already late to my date with the new girl. My parents know I'm gay, well my only parent. My dad left when I was two years old and I haven't met him since then. Growing up without a father and being able to have a great connection with him and have laughs together. It was a hard time for my mom especially trying to be a mom and dad at the same time. Trying to play catch or games I wanted to play. I was always the most tomboy girl in my neighborhood, I only ever liked having boy things and clothes. Well back to my date with the new girl. Well... not exactly a date she actually invited a bunch of her friends to come and hangout for her birthday party and weird enough I was invited.

"Mom right here, this is the house that I'm suppose to be at." I nervously said as I was looking at my mom. My hands were sweating, my heart was beating fast, and I didn't even get this girl a present.

"Ok sweetie, I know you are spending the night as well, but promise me you won't do anything or get any ideas.

"I won't mom I promise okay."

"Okay Macy."

I get out of the car and walk up to the door slowly and scared. Before I even knock on the door the girl opened it like she knew and was waiting for me the whole time. It was kind of creepy to be honest.

"Hi, umm I didn't bring you a present. I'm sorry."

"It's okay Macy not everyone brought one, besides I didn't want anything."

"Oh okay. Well once I get some money I'm gonna get you a present." I said as I was blushing a little bit. Also did I forget to mention that I still don't know this girls name and now it's starting to drive me crazy.

"Well okay then. Why don't you come in before it gets darker out. Also leave your things on because we will be leaving pretty soon to go to the corn maze."

"Okay." I said nervously. I've only known this girl for just a day and now she is taking me places, well with other people going to, but still. As she walks to her bedroom to get everyone else I waited in the living room ready. I was too awkward to sit on the couch so I just kept standing right next to the door.

"Hi you must be Macy." The new girl's Mom said to me as she saw me looking awkward.

"Uh, yes ma'am." I was even more awkward now because the mom was talking.

"Sophie talked a lot about you." Her mom said again. Hold on, her name is Sophie. Wow what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. I finally got her name after a whole day of not knowing.

"A whole lot ma'am? We've just met yesterday morning." I asked confused.

"Oh ye..s... maybe I wasn't suppose to say that. Oops." She started giggling a little bit after she said that like she was going to be in trouble, but she didn't care.

"Mom we are all ready to go." Sophie said as she came back from her room with a couple of other people like Jamie, Sam, and three other girls I didn't know.

                       -10 Minutes Later-

"We are here girls. I'm going to go pay for your bands and then I will leave with Sophie's sisters." Sophie's Mom announced while getting out of the car.

I wasn't sitting that far away from Sophie, we were in the same aisle in the car, just on opposite ends. I couldn't stop staring at her and she was making the cutest jokes ever, during the whole car ride. We got out of the car and walked to the entrance of the corn maze place.

Sophie stood right next to me.

*Sorry that it has been awhile since I wrote again. There has been a lot of things going on so I haven't really had the time to do some writing time.
