CHAEYOUNG’S POV
I’m finally am a Junior High student! Dahyunnie and I are attending the same school that our unnies. It’s great! We are just 2 years apart but we all are still as close as ever. Jihyo-unnie and Momo have had some hardships along the way but that’s natural, isn’t it? They’ve been friends since kids so having fights from time to time is normal. I mean, Dahyun and I also had some issues between us but she’s my bro, my best friend! We have to enjoy this year together before the unnies graduate and leave us behind again… well, I don’t want to think about that right now.

I was very lucky because Dahyun and I got in the same class. She immediately became a popular student among the class and it didn’t take long for her to be it in all school thanks to Sana-unnie’s affectionate reactions every time they met. She was recruited in the cheering squad not long after. As she and Sana unnie were quite close and part of the squad, people started to say they were like siblings, to Sana’s delight.

Dahyun charming and positive attitude make everything easy for her. She’s just that radiant. Everyone wants to befriend her as she is very funny and nice. I’m ok with it because, at the end of the day, I know that I am her best friend in the entire world.

On my part, I decided to quit basketball. As I grew older, I lost interest. It was fun and all but I preferred now to drawn. I wanted to express myself in some way so I joined the art club. There is nothing much on it. I just wanted a change on views.

Momo unnie forms part of the cooking club and I’m very happy she did so! Since then, the quality in our meals have increased and my tummy had not hurt after eating her dishes. In the future she could be a famous chef or something, she cooks that well!

In the other hand, Jihyo unnie does not have any activity after class. She just stays in the library studying, waiting for any of us to finish our club activities to go home together.

At first she didn’t want us near her at school and we didn’t know why. Dahyun and I tried to have lunch with her but she always refused and went away from us. When we asked the reason, she explained she had a bad reputation because an incident that happened when she was a first grader and having us related with her could only bring us bad reputation as well. Dahyun and I laughed hard at it as we knew Jihyo unnie was extremely kind but as Momo unnie was serious we realized she was for real.

In the couple of months we have there, we noticed people ran away from her and sometimes they even bad-mouthed her. It pissed me off but there was nothing I could do about it.

It happened when we were packing our stuff to attend our clubs when a guy asked why we tried to approach the scary unnie. People saw us before, trying to eat with her at lunch break as well as going home together. They were suspecting. Dahyun got out of it saying Jihyo was an old acquaintance in grade school and as we didn’t know anyone besides so we tried to bond again. The boy advised us not to get close to her as he heard lots of scary stories regarding her. Dahyun laughed heartedly and clapped, saying there was nothing to worry about. I wasn’t pleased with the fact she ditched on her sister just like that.

Maybe all that popularity stuff got to her head too quick. When we were alone again I confronted her and Dahyun apologized for it, saying she panicked. Dahyun was a rising star after all, things like that could only drag her down.
