So, Vaya and I were bored so we decided to try our hand at Fluff! If you have read Demi-Magic, you'll know who makes up the Lovechild ship.
Luna and Alicia were curled up in Alicia's bed, in Alicia's room under the Shrieking Shack. Luna's head was on Alicia's chest and she was asking her questions about her life. Alicia rarely opened up, so when she did, Luna took full advantage of it.
"You said that a Shadowhunter usually has... Runes? Do you have any?" Luna questioned.
"I do. Multiple. We all have one that represents angelic power. Mine is on the left side of my collar bone." She shifted slightly to pull down her shirt to reveal the small rune.
"Where are the other runes?" Luna sat up, crawled to the nightstand and grabbed a notebook to take note of the runes. Luna's eyes are filled with joy as she learned about Shadowhunters.
"What do each of these stand for?" she was writing everything down,
"The one on the back of my shoulder is glamour. When activated, I can go unseen to the mundane eye. Mundanes are practically muggles."l
"Ohhh that's interesting... Do you have more? How do you get them? Is it like achievements?" she questioned quickly. Alicia laughed.
"I have plenty. I have the ones that are there all the time, but I can always add more. Shadowhunters, we have this thing called a stele. This is going to sound brutal, but when heading into battle we can add more runes with this stele. Basically it burns the runes onto our skin. We get used to the pain after a while, so it doesn't hurt me anymore. There are also practical runes that you can use to unlock doors, start fires, and such."
"Wow. you said that you can make them disappear? How does that work?"
"Well they don't necessarily disappear, they fade, and leave thin scars where they were before."
"Do the scars hurt at all?"
"Not at all! So don't worry bunny, I'm not in pain all the time."
"That's good! It would be terrible if you were in pain." Luna smiled, put her notepad down, and bear-hugged Alicia, knocking them both over. Alicia laughed and hugged her back, showing a rare amount of emotion. They laid in the bed for a while after that, just appreciating each other's company before they had to go back to the school.
