The girl who was being bullied, her name was Casey. She had been bullied for as long as she could remember. She tried to her life because of the venom that other people spit out of their mouths. People don’t realize how their words shape the minds of other people.

For the rest of middle school and high school, I stood by Jordyn, Rachel, and Casey. I surrounded myself with people who made me feel important, not worthless. Those five years of my life left before they came. The day I graduated from high school was so surreal. I never imagined I would make it past eighth grade, yet alone graduate high school. It’s been ten years since eighth grade. I’ve graduated from college and I’m now a marine biologist working at an aquarium. I help rescue hurt and abandoned animals. I bring them back to health and give them a second chance at life. I minored in English and have a burning passion to write. Paper listens better than people and paper never judges you, so I guess that’s why I wrote this. It was a way to untangle the jumbled thoughts in my head.

When I was only seven, I had dreamed of being a Disney Princess. It was a silly dream, especially because you can’t really be a Disney Princess without working in Disneyland. Now I’m twenty-four and I have a life a Disney Princess would wish for. The day I graduated college, Liam proposed to me after we dated for three years. He’s better than any old Prince Charming and he made me his Queen. I love him to Pluto and back, twice. We are getting married in five days. Most brides would be nervous as a Chihuahua on the fourth of July, but not me. I couldn’t be anymore excited to marry my best friend, my soul mate, my better half. Today we got the key to our first house. As we unlocked the brand new door, I saw it for the millionth time, but this time it was different. It was no longer the house we wanted, it was ours. This is the house we’re going to grow old in. Any Disney Princess would give anything for this happy ending - more like beginning.

The most important thing I’ve learned in my twenty-four years of life is never let go, but at the same time, let go. Today will soon be yesterday and tomorrow is always a new day. A new day full of adventure is awaiting you. Never let go of your life. Your life is utterly precious and you are an amazing human being. Let go of yesterday and don’t hold grudges. For all you know, you may be holding a grudge on someone for something quite silly, and they could get hit by a bus and you’d never get to talk to them again. Live without regrets, because if you live with regrets, your mind will be filled of the things that you wish you could change and you never will be able to change them. Look forward to tomorrow, but live in the moment. If you’re living in tomorrow, you’ll miss this very moment.

Life is hard, trust me it is. What you don’t see right now is how much people love and care about you. You are worth more than the every star in the galaxy. You are worth more than you can see right now, so don’t give up. Life is a gift. So, hold on with both hands and stop surviving and start living. Once you start living, life will be like a roller coaster that only goes up.
