Mike got up, running outside. A couple of minutes later, he comes back in. "They're gone," he blurts. "What?" Lucas asks. "Nancy and Jonathan. His car's gone," Mike explained. "They're probably just sucking face somewhere," Dustin teased. "No. No way!" Mike exclaimed. "Did they go with the chief?" Dustin asks. "I don't know," Mike shrugs. "No," El blurt. "What? Did you see them? Do you know where they went?" Mike asked. "Yes," she whispers. "Where? Where did they go?" Mike questioned. "Demogorgon," El replied.

"Guys, guys! This is crazy. We can't just wait around," Mike argued. "Mike, in case you forgot, we're still fugitives. The bad men are still looking for us," Lucas opposed. "Yeah, and we don't even know where your sister is," Dustin adds. "El can find them," Mike suggests. "Mike, look at her. I still think we should stick to the chief's plan," Dustin exclaimed, pointing to me. "Exactly. We stay here, keep El and y/n out of sight, and keep them safe. That's the most important thing, remember? Besides, she's okay. She's with Jonathan," Lucas reassured. "Yeah, and she's kind of a badass now, so..." Dustin exclaimed. "Well, where are you going? You just said stick to the plan!" Mike shouted. "I am. I'm just gonna go get some chocolate pudding. I'm telling you, Lunch Lady Phyllis hoards that shit," Dustin replied. "Are you serious?" Mike yelled as Lucas and El followed Dustin. "El needs to be recharged!" Dustin shouted back.

"Mike, I found the chocolate pudding!" Dustin yelled. "Okay!" Mike yelled back. "Are you feeling any better?" Mike asked me. "Is pudding good?" I ask. "Yeah, I guess. Don't worry, when all this is over, you won't have to keep eating junk food and leftovers like a dog anymore. My mom, she's a pretty awesome cook. She can make you whatever you and El like," Mike smiled. "Eggos?" I ask. "Well, yeah, Eggos, but real food, too. See, I was thinking, once all this is over and Will's back and you and El aren't a secret anymore, my parents can get you guys actual beds for the basement. Or you can take my room if you want, since I'm down there all the time anyways. My point is, they'll take care of you. They'll be like your new parents, and Nancy, she'll be like your new sister," Mike suggested. "Will you be like my brother?" I ask. "What? No, no," Mike scoffs. "Why, 'no'?" I ask. "Because... 'cause it's different," Mike sighs. "Different? Different how?" I ask. "I mean, I don't know, I guess it's not. It's stupid," Mike frowns. "Mike?" I blurt. "Yeah?" Mike asks. "Friends don't lie," I exclaim. "Well... I was thinking... I don't know... maybe we can go to the Snow Ball together," Mike suggests. "Snow Ball? What is Snow Ball?" I ask. "It's this cheesy school dance, where you go in the gym and dance to music and stuff. I've never been, but I know you're not supposed to go with your sister," Mike explained. "Why?" I ask. "I mean... you can, but it'd be really weird. You go to school dances with someone that, you know... someone that you like," He starts. "A friend?" I ask. "Not a friend. Uh.. uh... someone like a..." Mike stopped talking before he leaned in and kissed me. He pulled away, a smile grew on my face. We see a car approaching. "Nancy. Hold on, I'll be right back. Stay here," he ordered before running out of the room. I walk into the kitchen to see El with Dustin and Lucas. "This will charge your battery right up, I'm telling you," Dustin smiled as he threw down a bunch of cans of pudding on the table. Mike burst into the room. "Guys! Guys!" Mike panted. "What is it?" Lucas asks. "They found us," Mike blurt.

We run down the hallway, Mike holding onto me as we run. "How did they find us?" Lucas asked. "I don't know, but they knew we were in the gym," Mike replied. "Lando," Dustin exclaimed. The doors in front of us burst open, a bunch of men coming in. "Go, go, go!" Mike shouted as everyone turned the other way. El and I used our powers to make all of the guards kill each other, wasting our energy. We fall to the ground.

I wake up to see Papa holding us. "Eleven? Y/n, can you hear me? Y/n?" Papa asked. "Papa?" El quizzed. "Yes, yes, it's your Papa. I'm here now," Papa exclaimed. "Not my Papa," I groan, trying to escape his grasp. I look over to see Mike and the boys being held back. "Shh, shh, you're sick. You're sick, but I'm going to make you better now. I'm going to take you back home, where I can make you well again. Where we can make all of this better, so no one else gets hurt," Papa explained. "Bad. Bad," El blurt. "Mike. Mike. Mike," I cry, reaching out for him. The lights begin to flicker. "Blood," Mike blurt. "What?" Lucas breathed. "Blood," Mike repeat. "Demogorgon," Dustin exclaimed. The Demogorgon burst through the wall. Papa got up, letting El and I go. The boys picked us up and carried us to the nearest safe spot. We entered a classroom, locking the door on our way in. Dustin and Lucas placed me down on a table. Mike held my hands. "Just hold on a little longer, okay? He's gone. The bad man's gone. We'll be home soon, and my mom... she'll get you your own bed. You can eat as many Eggos as you want. And we can go to the Snow Ball," Mike cried. I nod. "Promise?" I ask softly. "Promise," Mike smiled. We heard gunfire go off, then stop shortly after. "Is it dead?" Dustin stutters. We watch as the door burst down. "Go, go, go, go, go, go!" Mike yelled at Lucas to get the wrist rockets out. Lucas hit the Demogorgon with a rock, repeating it again. The stones weren't doing anything. I watched as El got off of the table, using her powers to send the Demogorgon back into the wall. She stepped out from behind the boys, walking closer to the Demogorgon. "Eleven, stop!" I scream. She used her powers to push me back. "Goodbye, Y/n," she cried before turning back to the Demogorgon. She lifted up her arm, using her powers. The Demogorgon let out a screech. We covered our ears at the loud noise.

When the noise stopped, we open our eyes to see both the monster and El gone. "Eleven?" I shout. "El!" The boys follow. We looked around for her but found nothing. I begin to sob. "No! No!" I scream. Mike wrapped his arms around me as the boys dragged me out of the school.

When no one was looking, I ran into the forest, escaping the police and the bad men. I ran as far as I could until I started having breathing problems. I remembered a breathing technique I remember someone teaching me. I just don't remember who.
