Chapter 1 (Patton freaks)

Patton was the first to notice something big.

Roman might have noticed that they were physically unable to call Anxiety a freak, which was weird but brushed off. Besides that had been when they "the lights sides" hadn't know Virgil well at that point.

But they now knew Virgil well which is why Patton is silently crying as Virgil is leaving the light side of the mindplace. Patton didnt know why Virgil was leaveing there hasn't been a problem or a fight. Was he not good enough did he forget and call Virgil kiddo. What did he do!?

Patton slowly slid down the wall, his chest hurt now.

Did we annoy him to much should we leave him alone more. Why was Virgil leaving him, Roman, and Logan. Maybe I need to tell Roman to stop picking fights with him or tell Logan to stop being to harsh. Wait maybe I am being to harsh.

Virgil was on the other side of the mindplace when his chest hurt, meaning one of the sides was having a very, very bad panic attack. His mind immediately went to Logan who had panic attacks when he couldn't understand things. It was usually mysteries about the ocean or feelings. And with that in mind Virgil tyrned back deciding texting Remy that they couldn't go for coffee or in Virgil's case tea.

He was about to head upstairs when he realised that the tugging in his chest pulled him to the kitchen not Logan's room.

Virgil stared in shock. Patton had panic attacks sure but almost never one that needed Virgil's attention. The last one that Patton had, that needed Virgil's attention, was before the Accepting Anxiety video, and that was a mess. Princy had walked in and accused Virgil of giving Patton the panic attack.

Virgil sat down in front of Patton and snapped his fingers trying to get Patton's attention. Patton like princey couldn't be touched unexpectedly during a panic attack they would lash out. For good reasons Virgil thought.

Patton hearing the snapping looked up. Virgil was there in the kitchen. Not with the dark sides.

"W-w-was...... i... B- bad?" Patton wispered his breath shaking.

"What no you are amazing Patton. Whats wrong? Can I touch you?" Virgil asked voice calm and smooth. Patton needed reassurances much like Roman and Logan. Although all of them would never admit it.

"Y-y-you were l-l-leaving" Patton said while grabbing Virgil's hands squeezes them.

Virgil shut his eyes. How to explain this. If Patton thinkin GB that he was leaving them that means he doesn't know about the other sides that cant go to Thomas or the main part of the mind.

"Okay how to explain this... Patton you, Roman, Logan, the "dark sides" as you guys like to call them, and I all are main sides we can appear to Thomas and go to the real world. Remy or as you guys call him Sleep isnt a main side because he cant go to the main part of the mind where we live and where the other main sides live. There is other sides that cant do that like Pranks and Missy and such They live in the imagination but different then where Roman goes okay. You understand so far."

Patton nodded.

"Princey has made impossible for me to go to the non main sides through his side of the imagination so I have to go through the "dark side" of the mindplace to get to them. I was a non main side originally so I have friends over there. Patton I was meeting a friend for coffee I wans't leaving you guys have been amzing but I still have my friends and family on the other side of the mindplace. Okay I love you guys. I love you Patton. You are my best friend okay but I miss the others too, okay." Virgil looked in Pattons eyes asking him if he understood. Patton slowly nods.

"Okay lets get to the couch. Do you have any questions?" Virgil asked grabing Patton and a few cookies. Slowly he wraped Patton up in a blanket and feed him the cookies.

"You have a family? Like a mom and dad is that why you dont want me calling you kiddo?" Patton asked, slowly munching on the cookies.

"Yeah I do and I love them but, they hurt me. NOT physically or anything but they put me down so that I would be safe and others wouldn't hurt me. It wasnt until Thomas was older did they realise that it was emotional abuse. They are better now and we are slowly trying to heal our relationship, but it is slow and such. They know I am hurt, and they understand that they we're abusing me now and such. I actually came over to this side to spite them."

Patton brighted up at this knowing that Virgil was happy and making up with his parents. "Sorry for being a mess Virge. You can go hang out with your friend now I will be okay."

"You are not a mess Patton you thought I was leaving and I would be just like this if I thought you were leaving and going to the place that I know had hurt you. Okay. I love you Patt. I will be back before dinner if not then I have fallen asleep at my friends okay." After explaining Virgil had left.

Patton apparently took a nap becuse next thing you know Roman was waking him up.

"Are you okay Padre?"

"Yeah I freaked out and it got bad but Virgil helped. I dont remember everything other then he is meeting a friend so he has to go through the dark side of the mind palce to get to where the non sides live to meet a friend. I thought he was leaving us and it was my fault but he calmed me down. Also something about a mom and dad I don't remember much." Patton said rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"Non sides?" Logan asked walking in the room.

"Um I think it was something to do with not being able to appear to thomas and not liveing here like Sleep is a non main side" Patton tried explaining.

"He had a panic attack and a bad one at that Lo, so he doesn't remember much. I would just ask V if you want to know more." Roman quickly added before Logan could reprimand Patton for not taking notes on this.

"That would explain where Sleep gose. Did Virgil say when he would be back?" Logan asked settling down in the arm chair. Princy and finally took a seat on the couch snuggling into Patton. Patton was still wraped up like a burrito one the couch.

"Um either before dinner I think or something about don't worry if he is not back." Patton responded before starting to unwrap him self. It was getting late and he had food to cook.

The other two stayed in the living room apparently they knew less than the thought about the emo side.

Also this is sympathetic Deceit and Remus as they had a reason and a pretty good reason also being said something will happen later in the book and I want to make sure you guys know that this is also sympathetic Patton even if they aren't all ways. And remember everything happens for a reason.
