I open my apartment and I'm soaking wet Josie runs up to me and hugs me tightly. It's something I'm not used to but I could.
"I saw what happened. I'm glad you're okay."
"Really? I mean you're famous and I'm a nobody cop in a small town."
"I don't think you're a nobody." She runs her opposite arm causing me to look down at the floor. I look up to be met with Josie's eyes and we suddenly get closer. But before we do the door gets a knock and I take a quick inhale of air. I clear my throat and open the door. It's Landon with MG my bestfriend. I give them a hug as they clutch onto my uniform tightly. I pull away and MG gives me a hard punch in the shoulder.
"Don't do that shit to me ever! God damn! I thought you were gonna die."
"But I'm here. I am fine top of my class remember." I step aside and they come in as I shut the door behind them.
"Yeah now let me in cause Landon and you need to catch me up on a lot. Like first of all why is THE Josie Saltzman in your living room?" He points over to her and she shyly waves.
"I don't know but I am not going to ask because noodle head over here is getting into my food." I don't even look and he comes over with a bag of chips.
"How did you know?"
"Cause I know you mop head." I say with a mischievous smile.
"Oh come on?! Will I never live that down?!"
"Nope. Now I gotta go change I'll be right back don't do anything stupid." I go down the hall and get a white tshirt with short shorts then head into the bathroom for a shower. I take a quick shower, get dressed and walk down the hall and sit on the love seat with Josie.
"What're you guys talking about?"
"We were telling Josie here about high school and where we all met."
"Did you tell her about the time when Hope when to my party." Mg laughs and I groan.
"We totally should I think I still have the picture somewhere."
"What happened?" Josie asks leaning a slight bit forward,
"Well you see Hope was kind of a bad girl in high school always in detention and was and still is the worst kid that has ever passed through. Anyways Hope came over to my house for a party there was a guy who was always flirting with her. Hope did not handle drinking and then dancing so she threw up all over this dude and I came over and gave him this talk where I basically told him she was gay and she just really didn't like him."
By this time my face is cover by my hands.
"I can't believe that the very next day he walked up to her and was like telling her how he was totally in love with her and such and didn't care that Landon told him she was gay. We cracked up and Hope being who she was when he tried to kiss her she broke his nose in front of everybody including the principal." I hear Josie join in on laughing with the two boys.
"Can we move on from this really embarrassing topic and like watch a movie or something?"
"I thought they were cute." I look over at Josie and she giggles I look away in I don't even know what I'm feeling at this point. Landon turns the tv on but not before the two boys give me a wink and smirk.
It's like halfway through the movie and my phone rings I answer Landon pauses it for me to hear.
"Hello?"
"Officer Mikaelson. Come down here to the station real quick I have someone who's asking to see you."
"Who?"
"They've asked me not to tell."
"I'm on my way." I hang up and get up off my the couch and grab my keys. "I'll be right back it appears I have someone who needs me I'll text you if I take longer." I grab some sneakers then I walk down the steps.
As soon as I get to the station I fix my shoes and walk inside and as soon as I walk into chiefs office there's some one I'd never thought I'd see again. My ex girlfriend, Penelope Park.
