Nandini woke up early which was unusual. But not as unusual as getting a mate out of nowhere.

*Nandu what are you going to do about 'Him'?* Ray spoke while Nandini sighed.

I don't know Ray, I was thinking of asking Amms. Maybe she would know.

She thought as she took her phone and dialed Amms number.

Phone conversation.

"Hello."

"Amms, It's me, Nandini." She spoke.

"Oh dear, did something happen? You never wake up this early." While Nandu pouted.

"Amms~" She spoke making her chuckle.

"Alright, tell me what's wrong."

"Amms, I think I have a mate?" She spoke more like a question than a statement.

"Oh my! Really?"

"Yes?"

"Why do I feel that you sound unconvinced?"

"Maybe because I am." She spoke with a tightlipped smile.

"Oh, Dear! You are not sure. But why?" Amms spoke, her voice was soothing to hear.

"You know that I am a chosen one right. In our tradition, when a king is born without a mate, they choose a person who has no mate to be the chosen one. This was the boon by the moon goddess so that they both can find peace in each other. But now all of a sudden, I have a mate. I can feel the bond but I am confused. Because I should not have a mate.

I don't know if this is temporary or someone's sorcery. Can this really happen?" She asked, her voice filled with anxiety.

"Calm down my dear, I have no answer for your question right now. But I can find it." She said. A glimmer of hope could be seen in Nandini's eyes which soon went away as she realized something.

"But the answer would only be in Carnia. You cannot go to Carnia, If they find you, they will burn you. I won't allow that." Nandini spoke angrily.

"Common, I won't go there to be burnt of course. I can sprout a spell and bring the books here." Amms said in a duh tone making Nandini chuckle.

"Alright but don't get caught stealing," Nandini spoke while Amms widened her eyes.

"Steal? Whose stealing? I am just borrowing in a respectful manner." She spoke in disbelief making Nandini laugh.

"But It will take a little time," Amms added while Nandini hummed.

"I really hope you find an answer." She spoke.

"DIIIII!" Rishab shouted from the other side.

"Rishu! You are up?" Nandini questioned while Rishab giggled.

"Yes, today I have magic practice so I had to wake up early."

"Wow! that's so cool." Nandini exclaimed while Rishab giggled again.

"When are you coming di?"Rishab asked.

"Soon enough Rishu." She spoke vaguely while Rishab pouted.
