Normal POV

Vanilla called the whole gang to her house. She had something to ask them.

When everyone arrived, she went to the living room.

-hi, Miss. Vanilla

-well, I'm leaving town for a week, and I need someone to take care of Cream and wanted to ask does someone have the will to take care of her?

-I could take care of her

Amy said. Cream looked at her mom.

-mom, can Mr. Shadow take care of me?

They all looked shocked. Shadow too a little.

-Cream, are you really sure you want Shadow to take care of you

Amy asked. Cream was a little mad. She was 6 years old but she was not stupid.

-why not?

-I just think... That Shadow is not the best choice... I mean, you know how he can be-

-I do, but you obviously don't!

-Cream, no yelling..

-Sorry... But Miss. Amy, you are wrong about Mr. Shadow, he's better with kids than you think.

They all looked at Shadow, he was looking at Cream.

Cream asked again.

-can Mr. Shadow take care of me?

-where do you wanna go?

-can we go take Cheese to Chao Garden?

-sure, kid..

Shadow took her hand and started walking to the door.

Cream again stopped.

-I know I'm 6,years old, and I'm not supposed to say what I'm about to say but... If someone calls Shadow bad again, you will regret it!

They looked shocked at her. That's when Shadow stepped in.

-Cream, that was not nice.

She looked at him.

-sorry Mr. Shadow...

-it's okay, I deserved what they think, about me...

Sonic POV

I felt bad for Shadow. I never told him how I admired him.

He thought we were just rivals, kinda friends.

I... Actually kinda liked him. He maybe is a bad guy in the eyes of others, but in my eyes... He is actually really good. Good with kids, kind...when you get to know him... At least that's what Cream tells me... The only problem is... He doesn't let anyone but Cream to know him.

I really want to get to know him... Get him to love me.

Maybe I can find out more thought Cream.
