Chapter 3

Shadow POV

I woke up and looked at my alarm clock. It was 8.50 am.

I looked at Cream, she was sleeping.

I looked at her as she started to wake up.

-morning Shadow...

-good morning, Cream...

She yawned and stretched.

-c'mon, I have to take you to the kindergarten

-um... No...

I tilted my head.

-why not..?

-there are 2 boys... They always laugh at me and... And tell me I have no friends...

I was shocked. Aren't those kids, like, 6 years old.

-what do you mean?

-one day, we talked about family, and when I said I have no dad... They laughed at me!

She started crying.

-T-they always push me around and...

I was completely speechless when she lift her ear. It was a bruise.

-they hit you?!

-they tried, but after they found out they weren't strong enough to actually hurt me, they started pushing me around or throwing stuff at me!

-Cream...

I hugged her.

-do you want me to go to the kindergarten with you?

I felt her nod.

We both got up and she was on my back as we walked.

Once we got to the kindergarten playground, we heard a shout.

-Cream!

I turned around and put Cream down as she ran towards a Grey female fox.

-Lana!

They hugged and headed towards me.

-Shadow, this is Lana. My best friend.

I bent down and the fox greeted my with a hug. I hugged her back.

-wait, Cream... Shadow the hedgehog s your dad?

-he's not by dad, he's just watching over me for the next 5 days

-well, if Marko and Lucas see him, they might get scared and stop teasing you!

I looked at them.

-since when are 6 year-olds this smart?

She laughed at that and put her arms behind her.

(N/POV:What Shadow didn't know was that a certain blue hedgehod was near by...)

-let's go...

I walked befind Cream, following her.

We walked to the playground and I looked at Cream. She was swinging on the swings with Lana. I than saw her getting quickly pushed off it along with Lana. There were two boys, one was a red bird and the other was a black fox. They laughed as Cream and Lana fell. They started chasing them, but little did they know... Cream and Lana were running towards me, and leading them right to me. Cream jumped in my lap and Lana hid between my legs. The boys came in from of me and stopped.

They saw my shoes and slowly looked up. They froze as they saw me giving them a glare.

They ran away.
