Helga's POV
I looked at Ayesha and saw that she was in tears. She was trying to stop herself from crying. Those tears told me what I had realized was true. I hugged her tightly.
"Cry as much as you want Ayesha. But remember to let out all your sadness when you cry." I didn't know what to say to her so I hugged her tightly and let her cry.
After a long time, she stood up and went to the washroom. She came back with a smiling face.
I always admire Ayesha. Even if she had lots of problems, she would try hard to make others comfortable and smile along.
She sat beside me. "Lyn.....She died in that accident." She said what I had most feared. I held her tightly and told her to continue. She took a deep breath and calmed down.
"The car was on high speed and the driver was a little bit drunk so we couldn't save her. Ziyan too lost his life trying to save her." She said with tears in her eyes
"Me.....I watched all this while standing there like a statue. I was too shocked. I didn't scream. I couldn't cry too. I stood there for a long time. I think I fainted after that. The last thing I remembered was that I heard an ambulance. It took me two days to wake up from the hospital after the trauma. I didn't speak to anyone for a week. I couldn't. Every time I wake up in the morning, I wished Lyn would be beside me. My family was worried about me. My mom was the most worried of all. I was the only daughter she had and she prayed every time for my recovery"
She continued "Everyone was worried for me. The silence of me was what worried them the most. I was the most talkative in the family and after the incident, I didn't talk much. I too ate less and it made my body weak. My mom decided that I take a break. She soon decided that I need to move to a new house. After a month, we moved to this house. My mom's friend, who was a doctor, was the one who suggested we move out of that house because she thinks that I might not be able to cure myself if I stayed in that house. So I moved out with a new mindset. My brother begged me to change and so I too decided that I need to change. My mom's friend, Safa Aunty was the one who helped me to recover myself. She used to come to my house every day morning and help me relax a bit. What helped me the most was this orphanage near our school. There was this girl named Azah, who made me the way I am now. She used to tell me all about her family and how they have died in a car accident leaving her alone. One day she said to me "Even if you lose the most precious thing in your life, you don't have to give up. Because Allah has much better plans for you further. We all have to die one day. Sister, you can't be depressed till your death. Pray for your friend and live as you have lived before." And that made me change."
I looked at Ayesha and saw that she was smiling.
"You know what Helga. After Lyn's death, I haven't cried a bit. Today, I got to pour all my worries out. I should thank you" She said to me and hugged me.
"Ayesha, I am sorry for you. You have been gone through many situations and yet you decide to smile again. I admire you girl" I told her back.
"I have this policy: even if I am sad, I shouldn't let others be sad. Maybe that's what made me happy, making others happy" she said.
"So what happened to Ziyan's family?" I asked her.
"Well, at first Ziyan's mother couldn't believe what had happened. She was really calm you know. After that incident, I haven't seen Zayn and his family much. My mom used to go to them sometimes. She told me that Zayn went to Qatar with his family to continue his studies. I haven't seen him for a while until..."
