After my football class got over, I messaged my mom that I will come late for lunch and not to wait for me.

I looked at my INSTA account and saw 2 messages.

Helga: Good luck

Ihsan: Can I meet you today after your football practice?

Me: Umm...sorry, I have something else to do. Maybe another day.

"It's ok" He replied instantly. I put my phone inside the pocket and walked toward the orphanage.

"I was playing PUBG on my phone when I saw someone walking towards the orphanage through the window

"I was playing PUBG on my phone when I saw someone walking towards the orphanage through the window. The orphanage is near my house as my mom works there. I went near the window and looked outside. It was Ayesha. I suddenly remembered how I have seen her in the school on my first day. I have tried to avoid her but couldn't help it. I tried to forget her as I lived in Qatar. But then forgetting a person you love the most is the hardest thing to do. That's why I planned to come back, to say her sorry for what my brother had done to Lyn.

I was thinking about Ayesha when someone snatched my phone away. I looked back and saw my sister Ziya laughing.

"Ziyaaa, give it back" I called out and ran behind her. She went towards Azah and they both pointed their tongue and laughed at me. Azah lives in the orphanage after her family died in a car accident leaving her alone. My sister and she are now best friends. I was going to snatch the phone from them when someone rang the doorbell. I went and opened the door. I was shocked to see Ayesha standing in front of me. I knew this day would come soon but I didn't think that it would be too soon.

"Aunty said that Azah is here," She said trying to avoid eye contact.

"Sista..." Azah came from behind and hugged Ayesha.

"Someone forgot me..." Ziya said and came in front of them.

"Sorry, Ziya. You remember me?" Ayesha asked her and hugged her.

"Of course. How could I forget my sister?" She said and smiled at her.

I was going to go to my room when Ayesha called my name.

"Zayn"

I stood there without moving and then looked back at her. This time I looked at her. She was beautiful. I looked sideways as I know she doesn't like eye contact with anyone.

"Can I have a word with you?" She asked me.

"Sure, let's talk outside," I said and went to the garden. I sat on a bench and moved to the side for her to sit. She came and sat on the other side.

"How are you?" I asked Zayn who was sitting on the other side

"How are you?" I asked Zayn who was sitting on the other side.

"Fine, Alhamdulillah" He replied and looked at me.

I looked into his eyes. Even though he said he was fine, his eyes told a different story. A story of a boy who survived but died every day. We have both lost ourselves when we lost the person we loved dearly. They told us to smile but we laughed coz a simple smile couldn't hide the pain we had. We suffered everyday yet we tried to live. We cried every night yet we smiled in the morning. We hid our scars deep down for the people around us. It was for them that we are still living. We smiled while our heart cried. They said everyone dies but why can't we all die together. So that we won't be dying every day when we have survived. They said it's not the end of the world but we think that the end of the world is better than the end of our loved ones. We prayed every night for them. We prayed to take us away too. We prayed to get rid of our feelings deep inside. Even if the moment has passed, the pain of that moment still lies in our hearts.

"How are you?" He asked me and looked away.

I like it when he looks away fearing the eye contact I hate doing. But with him, my fears all vanish. I still don't know why.

"Alhamdulillah, good" I replied.

We just sat there without talking for a long time.

While they talked in the garden, both of them didn't notice two eyes looking at them with anger. He smiled wickedly and thought of a plan to get Ayesha away from that boy.

After some time, Aunty came and took me inside to have lunch. I insisted saying that I will eat from home but she didn't allow me to go home without eating. That's what I like about her. She never makes me feel like a stranger in her house.
