He looked to his parents probably mind-linking them something because they both nodded hesitantly before making their way out. As his mother passed by me she offered a weak smile and touched my shoulder gently,

"Go easy on him sweet heart." I smiled and nodded and with one final squeeze she let me go and left with her husband.

I turned to look at Aiden's dad, Steven, but he avoided eye contact and just hurried Malorie along. I looked down disappointed mostly in myself that I let our relationship sour, I missed Steven and I's friendship but I supposed after everything I can't blame him for being upset with me.

Once they were gone I looked to their son who had sat down behind the alpha's desk. His desk. A bunch of tingles and emotions shot through my body just seeing him there. I was proud mostly but I knew now was not the time to congratulate him for something that we were supposed to do together.

Neither of us spoke for a few minutes as I just stood there scuffing my feet.

"Stop with the feet, its irritating and sit down." My eyes snapped up to meet his and I scoffed.

"Sorry dad." He rolled his eyes at my immaturity but I mean come on, that's the first thing he says?

"Sit. Down." I rolled my eyes this time, still bossy as ever I see.

"Yes sir." I saluted him in a mocking way as I did so and sat with a huff while he just clenched his fists. I'm annoying him. Good.

"Why are you here?" I looked over at him instead of fiddling with the end of my shirt more,

"I won't ask for your forgiveness because I know its hopeless at this point. I know there's nothing I can say to you that would change what happened here but for what it's worth, I truly am sorry Aiden. I messed up and I know I hurt a lot of people but Aiden I'm telling you, I didn't have a choice. Your just going to have to accept that." His eyes were ablaze with hurt and anger.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean Daisy?!" his fists were turning white from the pressure he was putting into clenching them. I sighed and sat up straighter. I didn't answer and it only made him sighed before trying to calm himself down.

"Tell me why." Straight to the point.

"Why what?" I knew which why he was referring to I just wanted to have some fun.

He didn't answer me but his eyes were alight with a burning anger, I knew I had to give him something or else he might blow a fucking brain vessel.

I also knew he wasn't in the mood, clearly, but he was holding back a lot of pent up anger. Sue me for wanting him to get it out and over with but I don't care, he needed to let it out and I knew just how to do it. Better he take it out on me then some poor innocent by stander at a random point in time.

I smirked and shrugged,

"Seemed like the right thing to do at the time." His left eye twitched which means he's pissed, good we're on the right track.

"Why?" this time was more of a demand,

"I just told you why-"

His calm mask quickly dissolved at this point.

"I want to know why you abandoned this pack, this family, why you abandon me. YOUR MATE."

I went to sass back even if it may have been a bit harsh but he bet me to it by carrying on.

"Because you know, you didn't really stipulate that in the note you left- oh wait. You didn't leave a note or any kind of goodbye, did you? Just poof and you were gone." I scowled at his hurtful words, but I couldn't deny it, it was the truth and I hated it.
