The day started out great, I received the invitation that Aira had sent as well as an invitation to a birthday party for a famous bachelor friend of mine

Si Angelo ang date ko for the event. I've known him since college and he know my true gender. Mabait sya, matalino, masarap kasama, and a real gentleman. He's a Filipino but he grew up in State. Matagal na nya kong hinihintay, at alam ko na mahal na nya talaga ako, kaso I can't, for the life of me, find it in myself to trust anyone again, and he respect that. Not since that traumatic experience sa Philippines. It really messed me up I think, kasi if I had known Angelo before, alam ko pwedeng pwede ko syang mahalin at napaka-deserving nya, kaso I met him too late. Ibang tao nako nung dumating sya sa buhay ko. Sabi nya he understood daw, and it's his fault hr insisted on waiting, and he hopes daw na huwag ko daw masyadong hawing bato ang puso ko

Hindi naman ako masamang tao, not in the beginning circumstance shaped me to be this way

I was in front of the vanity mirror when my phone rang.  Kinuha ko na yung phone ko

"Hello?" sabi ko. Nawala na sa isip ko ang tignan kung sino ang tuwag

[I'm outside your house] sabi ni Angelo sa kabilang linya

"Alright. I'll be out in a minute" sabi ko sa kanya. I looked at myself one last time

Nadatnan kong nakasandal si Angelo sa black ford nya habang hinihintay ako. He wearing black suit na bagay na bagay sa kanya. Nginitiam ko agad sya nang tumingin sakin

"Hi gorgeous" he said while smiling broadly

"Hello handsome" sabi ko sa kanya. Tumawa lang sya nang mahina at napangiti lang ako

Pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto ng sasakyan bago niya marahang isara ang pinto, pinanood ko naman siyang umikot sa sasakyan ng driver's seat. Binuhay niya agad ang sasakyan at agad tong pinaandar

The thing about this parties like this is that most people would like to get in, but very few are invited behind the red ropes. Pinagbbuksan ako ni Angelo ng pinto at binigay niya sa valet ang susi ng kotse nya. He held me by the arm. The camera flashes were blinding, there were people actually being held off by security guards. Madami kasing celebrities na pupunta. Sa entrance, we handed the bouncer our invitation, and I was ushered inside. We looked for the birthday celebrant and smiled when we spotted him "Happy birthday Dave" sabi ko at nakipag beso beso

"Thank you for coming" he said

Several people had turned to watch us. I took in the attention

When the celebrant excuse himself so he could mingle with his other guests

Nang naka upo na kami, I saw a familiar gesture it was Shawn. Bigla akong nawala sa mood

"Are you okay?" tanong sakin ni Angelo

"Yeah, I'm fine" sagot ko

Tumayo sya and said "I'll get you something to drink. I'll leave you for a while, okay?"

All managed to do was nod

After he left, nakita kong papalapit sakin si Shawn. Seriously?
