Chapter 3: Control

              ------Chapter 3------

                       Control

It has been four years since Okuda Mitsuoki's encounter with the Demon King, four years of nonstop hunger, four long years of living with the thought that one day he might hurt one of his friends. Every day he felt as if something was eating him, and with each passing day, his humanity was slowly leaving him. It was fairly easy to cover up that he is a demon for a year or so, but around the beginning of his tired year as a Demon, being in the sun was getting more and more painful. Whenever he got home, the skin that was exposed to the sun would be stained with a nasty red rash. His Demon Blood Art was NOT getting any better, sometimes his eyes would go to his Demon eyes then back to his human ones. He can't use his Demon Blood Art as much because he needs to concentrate on not losing it when he sees one of the pillars bleed. Ok storytime

            -----4 years later-----

Two male figures walked side to side as they approached the town; both seemed to be the same hight, one had an angry expression and the other one had his eyes half-closed and appeared to be bored, they both had swords strapped on their torsos, one had brown hair and the other white hair  "This is the place right Sanemi?" asked the brown-haired male to the other "Are you that stupid at you can't remember the place where we're supposed to fucking go? Yes, it fucking is!" scolded the white-haired male. These two were two of the most powerful swordsmen in the country,Sanemi Shinazugawa The Wind Pillar and Mitsuoki Okuda The Acid Pillar. They were sent on a mission to slay a Demon that has been causing trouble for other Demon slayers. The sun was up so they had no chance of finding the Demon, so they started to investigate. They started to ask questions to the townsfolk, well Mitsuoki was asking questions while Sanemi was just flowing him complaining why can't they just leave and then come back "Sanemi we need to get information, what if its an Upper Moon?" said Mitsuoki  "I don't fucking care!" yelled Sanemi and stormed away, Mitsuoki watched as his partner leave and did a closed eye sigh "Ummm excuse me, mister? I heard you were investigating the missing people problem right?" said an unfamiliar voice.

Mitsuoki turned around and saw a boy, no older than 10 tugging his pants "Yes I am, do you have any information?" asked Mitsuoki crouching down to the child's level "T-T-This one night from m-m-my window, I-I saw a-a b-b-black shadowy t-t-thing dragging s-s-someone to the woods" stuttered the kid now more nervous coming face to face with the man "Into the forest huh" muttered to himself the swordsman "Thank you for telling methis, it was very brave of you" thanked Mitsuoki, patting the head of the child with a soft smile "pleas mister! Come back safe, many have gone in the forest and didn't come back!" said the kid with tears in the corner of his eyes"Don't worry, I will beat the big bad monster for you" reassured Mitsuoki "It's getting late, why don't you go back to your home" and off went the kid waving and saying good luck to the Demon slayer.

The sun was just about to set when his partner returned, Mitsuoki was waiting at the entrance of the forest when he felt a presence behind him  "I thought you were going to leave me" said Mitsuoki still looking at the trees "As much as I want to, I can't" said his white-haired partner "Let's go and fuck up this demon" said Sanemi with a murderous grin, he unshielded his sword while walking in the forest. The other male sighed and followed Sanemi. 

Ever since he became a demon, Mitsuoki has always felt more powerful and safer in the cover of night, maybe it is because of the slight burning in his skin stops or the felling of the cold air that blows on his heated up skin. Either way, night time was like a break for him, a break from what he has become. Mitsuoki and Sanemi jumped from tree to tree aimlessly, trying to find out where the demon is hiding 'this demon knows how to hide, I'll give it that' thought Mitsuoki, then just as he was about to jump to another tree, the overwhelming smell of blood hit him. His iris shrank, the teeth in his mouth became sharper, his nails longed and also sharpened 'I haven't smelled the scent of blood this strong before, it's driving me mad' he thought as little drops of drool started leaking from his mouth, the pain in his stomach got worse by the second 'The hunger I feel is unbearable! I need to eat' he thought, Mitsuoki was about to jump when 'Mitsuoki!' called a voice. The voice sounded familiar but he couldn't make out where he heard it before ' That's Sanemi!' he remembered.

"Why did you fucking stop?" yelled the man, Mitsuoki quickly hid his demon features and turned to Sanemi "I think the demon is there," said Mitsuoki, ignoring his question and pointing toward where the smell is coming from. Both went that way and found a whole pile of human bodies, Sanemi went off to find the demon while Mitsuoki was doing his best in controlling his body, the smell was intoxicating, the view was mouth-watering (literally). He looked away from the corpses of those who have fallen and went the other way to find the demon and avenge the dead. The demon turned out to be the Lower Two Demon, which wasn't very strong, they buried the body and left.

            ------a week later------     ------- secret Pillar meeting------

In a room sat all the Pillars, except the Acid Pillar and The Master. The meeting called by Shinobu, the Insect Pillar "I called you all here to talk about Mitsuoki" said Shinobu "I'm sure you all noticed he has been acting strangely for the past year" explained Shinobu "Now that you point it out he has, before yesterday I asked him if he wanted to join me in a mission, but he said he didn't want to, he always goes when I ask him" cried Mitsuri. The other Pillars started to explain they're strange expiraces with Mitsuoki, like the rashing on his skin, the way he looks at blood, the always tired look on his face and other things "What should we do?" asked Gyomei "We should just let him fix his own" offered Giyu "I think I have a hypothesis" chirped out Shinobu..................

   "I think Mitsuoki is a Demon"
