Portals (A Minecraft Storymode Story) {{REWRITE}}

~ Author's Note ~

Okay, so for anyone who knew/read my old book would know that it's a bit cringey. Okay, a LOT cringey. The POVs were all over the place, I wrote in massive chunky paragraphs for the first half, and the characters just didn't seem... like the characters?

Alright, enough of the ranting stuff. Just some notes to go over for this book:

Unlike the last one, Jesse in this book is referred to as they/them. This means that you can choose which ever Jesse you prefer (I almost kept writing 'he' in the last one, even though Jesse was a female...).

LIKE the other one, each adventure/chapter will come out in separate parts, with three parts each. 

Throughout each chapter, there may be one or more choices that you guys can choose. For example, it might say 'Does Jesse: A) *Run around screaming* or B) *cluck like a chicken* (I mean come on, they could totally do either, right?)

Anyway, you choose which one you want Jesse to do, then scroll down and look for your choice and read the story on from there. None of the choices affect what happens to the characters in a different portal, but I thought I might as well add a little bit of the game into the book ^.^ (And I kept finding parts in the stories where I just went 'this would make a good choice...')

Oh, and I might end up putting it on hold a little bit, as I have loads of schoolwork and other books that I'm afraid will hold a slightly higher priority for me, but I intend to ACTUALLY FINISH this one!

Even though I'm not 'into' Storymode anymore like I used to be, I still love Minecraft and Storymode, and with all my boring essays and such, this and TAW (The Animals Within) should hopefully keep me from frowning down on all writing 😁.

Your OC's!

So, I realized that I REALLY don't want to have to come up with every single character for this book, since it's not really anything serious for me. So I'm going to let you guys submit some of your own to interact with Jesse and the others!

I'm not sure how many I'll need, but it's going to be something like Episode 6, where your own characters make their own little appearances! I might start with asking for seven or eight 'main' characters, and any others submitted afterwards will end up being cameos.

Please remember, these guys are like ordinary ol' Minecrafters, but they can have funny little quirks or abilities (A good example of this would be DanTDM's character's ability to change his hair colour randomly). And also note that any character featured in one portal won't appear in any other!

If you'd like to submit one, please give me the following info:

1. Name

2. Appearance

3. Personality

4. One or two quotes, so I can get a feel for how your character's personality plays out

5. Favourite colour and Minecraft animal/mob (random, I know, but bare with me here XD)

6. Any other little details that are relevant to the character's profile. Stuff like any animal companions, unique little habits/quirks that you think might be important and relationships with other characters (please make sure you have permission from other people first ;) )

7. If you don't mind your character appearing as a cameo. If you do mind, but you're a little late submitting, you can re-submit your character in another portal, and if you do it fast enough they'll become a 'main' character in that one instead.

All characters will be credited with their creators at the end of each chapter! You can give me descriptions in the comments or via a message if you wish, and please note that you can only have two characters featured (one 'main' and one 'cameo' ) and they must be your own characters/designs! 

They won't be appearing in the first portal, but any submitted with this A/N will be featured in the second portal. After that, I'll set up notes at the beginning of each chapter, when I've already written the previous and am looking for characters for the next.

Who are they? 

M'kay, so if you know about who Jesse and everyone else is, then just skip this part. 

I've realized that because the Storymode 'fandom' is starting to die off, some people might not know who the characters are, or have just picked the book up because it's Minecraft-related (honestly, that's probably something I would do XD), so I'm just gonna do a quick run-through  of the main four;

Jesse; the leader of the (new) Order of the Stone - a group of heroes who defeated a massive world-eating storm. Jesse can actually appear as both genders, male of female, and at this point in time has a total of six different variants, three for each gender, with a whole range of different armor sets. It's up to you to choose who they are in this book, so if ya don't know what Jesse can look like, just google it and pick one XD

Petra; one of Jesse's best friends, Petra's a fiery redhead with a personality to match. She's one of, if not the most experienced of the four in survival and fighting matters, and tends to enjoy the thrill of danger.

Lukas; previously the leader of a gang who bullied Jesse and the others, Lukas is now a loyal and devoted friend, a budding writer and tends to be the more 'responsible' one. He has blond hair and blue eyes.

Ivor; in contrast to the other three, Ivor used to be the villain of the story; he created a monster that Jesse and the others had to defeat. After making amends, Ivor became more of an informant to the Order in relation to their adventures. A brilliant whiz with potions, Ivor has long, black hair and a matching beard and wears olive-green robes, and has an unusual and rather crazy personality.

Quick Summery: The four of them chased Lukas' old gang through a portal to another world with a city in the sky. They defeated the gang, brought the Sky City people to the ground, went through another portal and found themselves in a massive hallway FULL of portals. So now, they're just running around trying to find their way back. During the second-to-last episode, they were shown running through a bunch of these portals in a montage, and I thought it'd be interesting to try and write about what might have happened in each of them.

So, that's it! I thiiiiink I've covered everything, so let's just get on with the story! :D
