A KNOCK FROM THE DOOR, DOROTHY CLOSES HER BOOK WITH A SMILE ON HER FACE. She checks the time brightening her face is up more.

8:20, early

She walks over to the front door, "Thank god, Dawn you have no idea—"

Instead she finds the adorable brunette boy. He blushes in embarrassment. "I thought I should wake up early so... yeah, wanna walk to school?" He bites  both of his lips attempting to hide his smile.

"Too late to say no," her blue eyes smile at his, "one sec!" she walks back into the kitchen and grabs her backpack.

She steps out side and they walk down the driveway, "Happy Monday," He smiles lowering his skate board and gliding across the pavement.

"Wow, you're really edgy," She says with a hint of sarcasm.

"Come on," he stops gesturing with his hand. The girl jogs over to him. "Hop on!" Ricky says smiles.

Dorothys mouth opens, "Nope," her lips pop the 'p'. He doesn't say anything, but lends a hand. She takes it hesitantly, "what if I fall of and break a bone, and that'll mean that I'll have to use crutches... Even worse wear a cast. I've heard those things hurt!" her mind slowly spiral in front of him.

Without thinking, his hands grasp her shoulder and he quickly moves closer, but stops himself before he could do something he didn't want to do. Not then. "You're gonna be okay," their eyes look at eachother, she could see the trust in his eyes.

"If I die, you're the reason why." Dory smiles grabbing his hands, holding them tightly out of fear.

"You won't," he smiles at her, "So one foot at a time." They down at her feet stepping onto the the skateboard. With both feet on, wobbing, she sqeezes his hands for the life of her. "You okay," Ricky smiles looking up at the girl who was now his height from the platform.

Although she felt like she was going to die, she laughed. She couldn't help because she looked at him. "Yeah," Dorothy says sqeezing tighter, "I'm so cool now!"

"So are my fingers if you keeping cutting off my blood circulation," They laugh genuinely. "Keep going, you're doing so well!" Ricky says speeding up her pace while pulling her along.

"Too fast!" Dorothy screams as her heart races, "I'm serious Ricky!" still he hears her, but speeds up instead. "STOP!" she says sharply, but still has that special smile. This time, Ricky slows down before coming to a stop. "I think, I might need a little more lessons,"

Ricky smiles grabing the skateboard from the ground once her small feet step off. "With the amount of lessions you need, I better charge you."

With a smile, she scoffs, "I'm not that bad!" her hand playfully shoves him.
