Just to be sure, he checked her forehead again and sighed in relief when it felt less hot than before.

There was a warm feeling in his chest, having done all this for her.

Why did I do it? If it was someone else except Di, it wouldn't have bothered me one bit but.... why her?

She fuels your fire, she challenges you, makes you believe that you're not the only superior one, irritates you, comes in your way too many times, angers you... then why?

Because..... because still she's... special, despite all those things.

Shrugging those thoughts off his mind he gazed down at her. Her serene face looked so beautiful in the moonlight.

He couldn't believe he did such a thing. Take care of khushi. It would've never crossed his right mind.

He always liked having her attention solely to him, he always liked giving her attention even if it was based on derogatory accusations and comments. He didn't know why but her words affected him. SHE affected him no matter how much he didn't want to say it.

She. Affected. Him. Greatly!

Her calmly resting was a good sign but why did he want her to wake up and argue with him. Why did he want her to regain consciousness? Why did it sadden him seeing her usually ardor self, lay half unconscious and not in her senses.

"I hope you'll get fine soon Khushi" he whispered against her head before pecking her temple softly.

Judging that she lay comfortably here, he was about to get off the bed and go to the living room, when her hand gripped his in a tight hold, not wanting him to go.

He tried to get up but she whined, not having the warm figure next to her.

It felt cold and she didn't like it so she whined and tossed and turned till the warm figure was next to her yet again.

Arnav having no other choice had to give in and lay next to her, cuddling him to herself like before.

Such a cute whiny mess she was! He chuckled.

If only she was awake, she would have never done this.

He laid his head on the head board for a comfortable position.

Get out of this bed after ten minutes when she's in deep sleep. Those were his last thoughts before his own eyes started to shut and sleep engulfed him.

The morning seemed to have rolled in soon.

Arnav was the first one to wake up to the most angelic sight ever.

She lay there with her hair spread on the cushion, lips formed in a pout, cuddling his arm.

It was the most beautiful sight he'd ever seen.

He was shocked at himself that he allowed himself to even lay next to her and the biggest, sleep next to her.

He never ever slept with anyone, he'd never slept with anyone next to him, never.

This wasn't right! He told himself.

When are you even ever right when with her? A voice questioned him.

Getting up as quick as he could, before she noticed, he made his way to the restroom, to waken himself by splashing cold water on his face.

Having done with that, he made his way to the kitchen but unfortunately there weren't breakfast essentials, and it was important for Khushi especially to fill her stomach properly.

He decided to order some light breakfast, which consisted of chai, coffee, scrambled eggs and toast.

"Khushi baby, you have to eat the medicine. Phir tum jaldi sey theek ho jayo gi. Iss medicine ka bura taste jaldi khatam ho jaye ga. And if you eat the medicine I'll get you jalebi" he tried to make her give in, by promising the sweet treat she loved. (Then you'll recover faster. The bad taste of the medicine will soon go away once you eat it. And then when you've finished, I'll get you jalebi)

"Jalebi?" She asked with her eyes closed, still resting her head against his chest.

"Haan" (yeah)

"Ok!" And then she opened her mouth in an 'aahhh' telling him that he could put in the medicine. Grinning at this child girl, he made her have the medicine

Shaken by the thoughts of last night that creeped into his mind abruptly, he decided to do the most unusual.

"Do you guys sell jalebi?" He asked the worker.

"Excuse me?" Asked the other end, startled by the sudden question.

"I asked do you guys sell jalebi?" he said sternly this time.

"Umm no sir, we don't, this is only a breakfast spot but we do have a little shop next to us that sells some really good jalebis"

"Good! Arrange getting a box of jalebis delivered to me as well."

"But sir we don't-"

"I'll pay you extra"

And that was the end of the conversation, when the worker obliged the mighty Arnav Singh Raizada.

It was quite early in the morning so he told Aman that he'd be joining later than usual.

He couldn't possibly leave Khushi alone here.

He went and checked on her to see if her fever had reduced, and it gladly had.

Getting his laptop, he decided to work on the essentials, when after a couple minutes the
bell interrupted him.

Getting it must be the breakfast delivery, he made his way outside and collected everything, making sure to pay extra for the jalebis.

Getting the food out of the plastic bags, he put them on the table. Until a scream startled him.

Here we go! He prepared himself for the upcoming chaos.
