Hey! You decided to stick around for another chapter! I guess the history lesson was fun in some way? That or you are skimming the chapters. Either way is fine by me.
Oh! I talked to Sparky about the history book I used last time and she didn't really give me a valid answer, she simply asked what I thought of the book and confirmed that the book was the official history book located in the library.
Weird...
Well, before this becomes me rambling about historical accuracy lets continue on.
Let's see,
"I know how you love cliff hangers-"
Ah! Here we go!
"As stated in chapter 1, the Lupex name was later changed to Trix(es). This occurred after the Kattian War where the Lupex betrayed the Kats, called kattians, in exchange for full access to kat energy. For more information on kat energy see the Kattian Code handbook by Analise Markez."
That would be a shameless plug if I ever heard one. Why not include that in this book? I guess I can look for that book if you guys want me to.
"Humans came to the Trixes aid in exchange for equal rights to the kattians planet and after a mear 20 years the planet was dried of all the kat energy it had by both the Trixes and the Humans."
"After searching for ways to recreate the energy, they found that injecting it into kats could result in the kats producing the energy type within them, allowing for a potentially infinite amount of kat energy."
"The same rarely worked with other creatures and so a select population of kats was used to create stores of kattian energy, where the energy got its name from."
Ha, so blood donations only forced. Fun.
"The planet Kattia was abandoned by humans but the Trixes kept the barren planet as a trophy and began to build their planet into a station of warriors ready to concur at a moment's notice. They became brutal over time and gained the human's respect eventually being seen as equals sharing in the spoils of the war."
Again, it mentions nothing about why the Lupex betrayed the Kats. The leaders were tricked by humans to believe that the Kats were holding their energy back so that they could take over their planet. They even briefly mentioned that kat energy often harms those who use it without careful training. Though Analise's reason is not very detailed...
Also spoils of the war? Really? Kats were equals to the Lupex and had nothing to defend themselves with. They relied on the Lupex and in exchange, the kats DID give the Lupex kat energy. It was in the form of kat energy rings in order to keep the side effects away.
"It is unknown why the Lupex changed their name, perhaps they wished for a new identity to show their new social status"
That's it! I have had it with this book!
The Lupex changed their name because of guilt. They TRICKED the kats into letting them and the humans enter. They acted like sneaky foxes instead of noble wolves who protected their family. They felt SHAME.
...
I'm sorry guys. I bet you're confused as to how I know that this information is wrong.
Well, that is because I am a Trix. I know what my kind did in the past, and it was horrific and we lost our honor as protectors because of it. I also know that the kats to this day are paying the price for my kind's mistake. There isn't much I can do about it either. It is just sick to see how humans have twisted history to make themselves feel better. At least we took responsibility for what we did.
I don't think I can read any more of this book. I wonder where that Kat energy book is? I am sure they couldn't get THAT wrong right?
Oh, who am I kidding! If they twisted history, of course, they would twist kat energy.
Why did Sparky send me here anyways?! I know there was a reason and her reaction tells me I am somehow on the right track... as to what that track is I have no idea though...
Who is Analise Markez?
