JUNE 2018

3 weeks later
It's been over 2 weeks since I've last seen Brad. And when I say last seen him I mean we argued.

I'd went out to a club with Lola and happened to run into Brad there. Well if that means him with his tongue down another girls throat.

Yes, we weren't seeing each other in fact we'd never talked about what we were. It was just we fucked from time to time.

We weren't tied down to a relationship although I hadn't been seeing anyone else since I had been getting with him.

I hadn't went near another boy in the slightest. It was the fact I was in the same room as him as he done it, it felt like he had no respect whatsoever for me.

That brings us to today, I had been constantly working to keep myself busy but tonight I had it off.

Lola was currently on holiday with her family meaning that I'd the flat to myself.

I lay in the bath while watching 'Sherlock' when I got my phone started ringing. It was Tris.

Ever since the heated argument between me and Brad he's always been texting to check up on me.

I feel like I have a friendship with Tristan now, it's not just because I was having sex with his best mate. We actually both really got along.

'Hey Tris.' I chirped, happy to hear from him.

'El. Pack a bag I'll be there in five.' He said sounding panicked.

'Tris slow down, what's happening? Where are we going?' I asked confused.

'It's Brad. We're going to Birmingham.' He still sounded as panicked.

'Is he okay?' I asked, worried something has happened to him.

As I spoke on the phone I quickly climbed out of the bath to gather clothes.

'I'll tell you when I get there, I'm leaving our flat now.' He quickly stated before hanging up.

Within the next few minutes I was dressed and had a bag packed with a few bits of clothing and underwear.

I locked up and rushed downstairs to where Tris was sat in his car. As soon as I got in he drove off immediately.

'Tris what's wrong?' I asked growing panicked.

'He's in hospital.' He said sounding as though he was going to cry.

I looked out the window and watched as the rain drops raced each other.

'Is he okay?' I asked turning to Tris as he slowly shook his head.

'He's unconscious.' Tris said as his voice cracked.

Suddenly the tears started falling from my eyes thinking of the worst. I couldn't even bring myself to ask what had happened.

'He was drunk. His mum said he's been struggling the past two weeks that he's been home. He's been turning to drink more than ever. This afternoon was no different, he got drunk and then fell off the footpath in-front of a car.' He said as he took his time.

After he finished I began to sob. If anything happens to him I won't forgive myself. We ended on bad terms and I can't help but blame myself.

Could I have been the reason he was struggling and turning to drink?

What felt like the longest 2 and a half hours journey of my life was full of silence, not one of us wanting to talk.

As we arrived at the hospital Tris dropped me off so I could go on in as be parked. I rushed to the unit where Brad would be.
