Chapter 3

    The next day the lawyer documented Count Olaf as our guardian. Now we are in his smelly car going who knows where. We drove in silence for a bit sunny on my lap.

"Children I've be in a situation and I've realized I've been a bit" Olaf said trying to find the word "evil" Violet muttered "well not exactly but now that we are a family I can be the oldment dad i know lets stop for a treat" Olaf said slamming on the breaks by a little store we all jerked forward in shock. Then he pointing at us saying something that sounded like fruit names. Sunny had her little hands in my hair and gurgled "bite me" I just hid my smile as Olaf glared at me and Sunny and went out of the car. When he got closer to the store he locked the car causing me to jump my eyes widen as I looked around. "violet where are the locks" Klaus asked looking at Violet. She picked up a law book making me confused as ever. Then Violet found a time line in the book "what is it" Violet asked I looked at the times "7:45, 9:35, 10:00, 11:15, 1:42, and 3:35. 11:15 is circled...its a time schedule" I said looking at the times. Then I realized "we are on a train track" I mumbled as I turned around to look at Klaus. "go!" Violet yelled and we climbed over the seat looking for a way out "everything's locked" I yelled going into the back and tried the doors for anything. Then the phone rang and it was Mr. Poe. Violet tried to tell him we are gonna get hit but he couldn't hear her. "Klaus you read books on trains and Tamara you know engineering what do we do?" Violet asked. He then pointed at a train track level that switch the tracks "we need to pull it" I muttered looking around "there is nothing" Klaus said angrily looking around "there is always something. Sunny bite the head of that elf" Violet answered and Sunny gladly did as Violet tore the seat thing apart  went upfront and took a sprain from inside the seat so I had to tear the seat apart "What are you going" Klaus asked me confused "we can use this sprain and pull the thing vi has as a string, put the sprain on it, and tie the elfs head on it then pull ot back threw the window let go and it should If me and Vi's theories are right it should wrap around the lever and we can pull it" I explained keeping focused on the seat. Klaus nodded I got upfront to help pull it back sitting behind klaus the 1st time it didn't work so we did it again "violet" Klaus said warning "I got it" she muttered "I don't mean to rush you" Klaus said in a panicked voice. We pulled and it made it "nice shot" Klaus said "thank you now pull" she muttered and we did with all are power and got it I sighed in relief and smiled. Then we heard honking from behind and whipped around and the doors unlocked and sunny rolled the window down poking her head out and waving making me giggle at her actions.
    We all got in Mr. Poe's car "oh please don't take them away" Olaf pleaded "im sorry but a driving baby is illegal" Mr. Poe said "he tried to kill us" Klaus said "he slapped me and Klaus and threatened to drop Sunny" I added "how would he of tried to if you weren't on the tracks and if he slapped you 2 where are the marks?" Mr. Poe asked my eyes widen in disbelieve as I looked at Klaus cheek to see a little bruise how does he not see that "well maybe because we saved are own bloody lives and how do you not see Klaus bruise" I muttered under my breath but Mr. Poe being stupid didn't fall for it nor see it "idiot" I muttered as he let Olaf say his "sad" goodbye "ill find you orphans no matter where you go and ill take what's mine" Olaf said getting close since Klaus was right there I pulled his arm closer to me just in case. Then olaf backed away putting drops in his eyes and looked at Mr. Poe "take them away before i lose it" Olaf said faking it. I rolled my eyes annoyed "faker" I said to him Olaf glared at me.
    We are now on are way to are new guarding named monty i think. I fell asleep on Klaus shoulder for a bit I felt his head on mine too after an hour they woke me up when we got there. "What does he study" Violet asked looking around at the snake sculptures when we got of the car "I don't know" Mr. Poe said looking around im freaked And im scared snakes everywhere im afraid of them Klaus grabbed one of my hands while the other held sunny. I smiled up at him and he smiled a little in return. We sole the man waiting for us when we got to the door "oh violet look at you all grown, and klaus we've never met" he said shaking Klaus hand so klaus let go of mine and the other he was holding sunny "firm grip, and sunny dear sunny you look just like your mother. And oh my lord Tamara Stewart I knew your mother you look kinda like her oh this is splendid" He said my eyes where wide as I starred at the snake around his neck oh hell no. My breathing stopped a bit and Klaus grabbed my hand again "breath we don't need you passing out you'll be fine just stay close" Klaus whispered to me I let out the breath I was holding and nodded looking down "Well I've got it from here Mr. Poe" Monty said "well maybe i should come inside" Mr. Poe said looking inside "yes you can help milk the snakes" Monty said. I quietly laughed at Mr. Poe's reaction "now remember children need anything call me" And with that he drove away "well now that we got rid of him we got to pack" he said as we walked in 'pack" I asked confused then he explained we are going to puru cool. "Why are we going to puru" I asked again "we are going to study snakes and just to get away from everything like a vacation" he answered looking at us. I nodded not saying anything. Then he took us to the reptile room and snakes everywhere I was freaking out the entire time I held Klaus hand and squeezed it. "Come see my greatest discover the incredible deadly vipor" Monty said as we walked to a empty cage. We looked in confused I looked in a sole trees and grass it looked like a jungle I was so focused on what was inside I didn't realize the cage opened and a big black snake got out towards me, Klaus and Sunny causing me and Sunny to scream as I hid behind Klaus. "Don't worry girls the incredible deadly vipor is harmless" Monty said pushing the snake back in "you mean the incredibly deadly vipor couldn't of possibly harmed them" Klaus said with a protective and disbelieve voice as he looked at me and Sunny he's not even worried about himself you see that's what I like about Klaus he is always concerned for other people more then himself. I was scared to come out so I ran out of the room scared of the snakes. A minute later Monty appears "Tamara Do you know snakes are more afraid of you then you are of them. You don't need to be scared promise if anything they are less harmless" monty said looking down at me. I smiled and nodded hugging him. Monty chuckled at me and hugged me back. "Now none of the sadness" Monty said letting me go and looking at all of us "what i need right now are a inventor, reader, a biter and engineer" I smiled as he said that yes i love engineering its just my thing Sunny gurgled "my teeth are at your service" and we all sat at the table and monty gave us all cake I was sitting next to klaus, Violet across from me and Sunny next to her, and monty sat at the end of the table so he could talk to all of us. I looked at the cake and took a bite and omg I love it "this is amazing uncle monty" Violet said "yes very" I said happily and took another bite. Monty laughed "thank you I thought you kids would like it" Monty said eating his own. I ate my cake happily I was in heaven "wow slow down Tamara before you get sick" Monty said chuckling "sorry Monty" I said shyly and imbarest "dont be imbarest Tamara and please call me Uncle Monty" Monty said. I smiled and nodded looking down after words Uncle Monty played a beautiful song. It was relaxing Sunny was on Klaus lap and I was beside Violet laying on my stomach on my elbows my legs in the arm as I swinged them a bit. "i think are parents used to play that for us" violet said." Ya i feel like my mum played it ounce" I said Uncle Monty then explained how he had kids, a family but then a fire happened. I felt bad for him. Monty gave us are own rooms mine had a computers because im also really good with computers Klaus calls me his little hacker because of it. And it had a big table for my ideas with blueprint paper and a big bookshelf with books it was amazing. When we went upstairs to bed me and Violet talked a bit before. "So When are you and Klaus gonna date?" She whispered as we sat on her bed. "Never probably" I said shrugging "oh come onnn" Violet groaned I laughed "you wanna kiss my brother?" Violet said in a teasing voice "n-no" I stuttered probably blushing "yes you do yes you do" Violet chanted as we laughed "hey you forgot me and Sunny you bullies" A voice said and we turned to the door to see Klaus holding Sunny "sorry Klaus sorry Sunny" I said as they walked in shutting the door and we all sat on the floor. "What where you guys laughing about?" Klaus asked curious "nothing just Violet being a crazy person" I said giggling as Violet laughed "its true tho ain't itt" violet said "what's true?" Klaus asked so confused "erm nothing" I said "that she-" but I covered her mouth as she licked my hand. I quickly took my hand away and whipped my hand on her should "you nasty" I said laughing. Klaus raised and eyebrow confused "She has a crush" Violet blurted but before she could go any further I covered her mouth "you have a crush on someone?" Klaus asked and Sunny baby talked on his lap "you people are weird" me and Violet looked at each other and shook our heads smiling. "So who you got a crush on" Klaus said smirking I feel like he knows who. "Well that is a story for another time" I said playing with my dress then standing up "im going to bed" I muttered and walked out of Violets room going into mine which was across and next to Klaus. I sat on my bed and sighed playing with my hands. The I layed down and fell asleep. Im the middle of the night I had a nightmare and tossed and turned it was about Count Olaf. *Dream*
   "Let us go!" Violet shouted as Count Olaf and his troop grabbed us taking us away from uncle monty. "No no no will not do" Olaf shouted. When we got back to his house Olaf and his troop threw us on the ground. Sunny started to cry. So Olaf slapped her "she's just a baby you spoiled-" but I was cut off when I was picked up by the arms the 2 women in Olafs troop had picked me up. "Let her go!" Klaus yelled and stood up only to be knocked out with a gun? What?! Olaf chuckled and his troop laughed. "Klaus!" I yelled struggling as Vi and Sunny where grabbed by the hookman. "Now pick up the boy" Olaf yelled and the skinny one who had like no meat on his bones yanked Klaus up waking him up. "Now little T, I'll let your friends go if u give me your forturn and I get to kill you" Olaf said smirking "no don't do it its not even worth it" Violet said struggling I looked at Sunny who was crying, Violet who was struggling, and Klaus who looked at me with pleading eyes. No kid should have to go threw this. I just nodded a yes. "Good girl" Olaf said "no don't touch her you good for nothing" but klaus was cut off by Olaf slapping him so hard in the face that Klaus started to cry at how hard it was. "Stop" I shouted. "You know what forget it" and with that Olaf shot Violet, klaus and Sunny without a blink "No!" I screamed so loud.
     I sat up and screamed when Someone touched me and sole Klaus sitting on my bed. I panicked and pushed him away scared but he pulled me towards him so I hugged him tightly and cried "its okay it was only a dream" he shhe'd. "Klaus your alive" I mumbled. Klaus let go off me and touched my cheek "what happened" Klaus asked. I looked down and shook my head "He... He killed you guys and i-i" I stuttered and cried harder. Klaus sighed and hugged me tightly "he wont find us nothing will happen" Klaus said rubbing my arm. I looked at him "how do you know" I whispered sadly. Klaus looked at his hands then grabbed mine "because I just do" He said and that night me and Klaus fell asleep in my room he was reading me a book and I got tired and fell asleep in his arms a smile on my face.
    The next morning Uncle Monty let me cook which I got so happy. I decided to make pancakes because why not I was stirring the batter when I heard a voice behind me "need help" I turn a bit to see Klaus standing besides me. I giggle and nodded "sure why not I can teach you how to make pancakes" I said happily I set the bowl down and turned to look at him. Klaus chuckled "ya i don't know remember you tried to teach me how to make eggs and I couldn't even do that" Klaus said. I nodded "true but maybe since your older it will be easier come here" I said and dragged him over to the stove "okay grab a flat pan and turn the burner on" I said he did that as I grabbed the bowl of batter. Then I walked over to him and put the bowl on the counter next to him and gave him a measuring cup. "Fill that cup with batter and dump it on the pan" I told him. I crossed my arms and watched as he did that with a bit difficulty but eventually did it. I chuckled when he tried to flip the pancake over but it didn't work. I giggled and walked over to him and grabbed his wrist and helped him flip the pancake "i suck at cooking. Hopefully in the future if I get married she will know how to cook because well I cant" klaus groaned. I frowned at the thought of him getting married "ya.. Well you'll get better at it" I said shrugging I sole Klaus frown a bit at my actions. We finished with the pancakes and everyone ate "these pancakes are marvelous Tamara and Klaus" Monty said "it was mostly Tamara" Klaus said I blushed and looked down after we ate we all went upstairs to hang out I was in my room listening to music "Stay with me" was on by Sam Smith.
