CHAPTER ONE: KING OF THE SEALFOLK

A bald man sat at his table, legs crossed and in pajamas. Sure, it was two in the afternoon, but he didn't have anywhere he needed to be. This bald man might not seem like it, but he was vital to our story. His name was Saitama.

Saitama resided in Japan's City Z, in the abandoned 'ghost town' part of the city. Why is it a ghost town? Well, due to the overpopulation of monsters in that part of the city, people moved. Why was this seemingly ordinary man in this part of town? Having too much power can be a pain.

"Sensei Saitama," Genos, Saitama's cyborg friend called. Ever since Genos had seen Saitama in action, he wanted to be Saitama's disciple, and out of belief Genos wouldn't keep his word, he said yes...Genos did go through with it, and now he lives with him. On the plus side, he pays the rent.

"Genos?" Saitama said blankly in response. Genos walked into the room holding a phone.

"The hero association called nearby heroes in; would you like to come? The threat level is demon." Saitama thought for a minute, pressing a finger to his bottom lip.

"Sure, why not? As long as I don't miss the sale at the grocery store. It's Tuesday." It was Thursday today, and with Saitama on a tight budget, he couldn't pass the opportunity.

Saitama stood up and walked to his room, pulling out a yellow suit. He changed into it and fixed his white cape. Then he put on his red boots and gloves.

Saitama and Genos raced to their scene; actually, Genos had a booster pack, but Saitama only had increased human abilities.

They were heading to the Evacuation center, that was where the monster was...and unfortunately, the citizens too.

"I'm going ahead, Sensei!" Genos yelled, his blasters pushing him forward quickly. Within seconds he was gone. Saitama ran after him, then after twenty minutes, stopped and placed his hands on his knees, catching his breath.

"Geez, how far away is it, and is this rain ever going to stop?" The large explosion a few blocks ahead of him made him straighten, and continue running.

Satama was a block away when he heard a cry of pain. turning the corner, he saw Genos ripped in two.

"Genos," He said blankly, as if his friend was not torn in half, "Are you okay?" Genos let out a weak chuckle.

"Sensai.." He groaned, the lights in his eyes disappearing. Saitama tore his eyes from his friend and looked at the scene before him.

The safe house had a large hole in it, where people were poking out, terrified for their lives. The monster was a big ugly brute, with green skin almost resembling a fish. Around his neck hung a regal cape, and on top of his head was a large crown. Around this monster lay the body of superheroes, torn in half or bleeding badly.

"Another 'superhero' come to stop me, the King of the Seafolk?" The brute chuckled, a crazed grin etched on his face. Saitama hooked a finger on his chin and smiled.

"You look tough, maybe this fight will be better than last week." was all the bald man said.

The king pummeled Saitama, fists clenched tightly with glee at the prospect of a new kill. Saitama barely inched from his spot with the attacks, his pinky in his ear. The king growled as he raised his fists above the bald man, leaving his stomach exposed. Shrill cries came from the crowd, as they watched what seemed to be another loss on their part.
