Chases POV: me and charli have been doing online school together for the past week and I'm getting really bored so is charli. I think maybe we should FaceTime her parents to meet them! I say "hey charls we should FaceTime your parents so I can meet them!" She looks down and says "maybe another time" Dixie looks like she's going to cry. I say "what's going on here? What's wrong Dixie?" Dixie says "nothing" charli continues to do school and I say "charli what is going on I'm confused" she says loudly in a harsh tone "nothing chase okay!" I say "okay jeez" rolling my eyes. Nick and Bryce look at charli weird and she just goes upstairs in her room. A hour later I walk up there when I finish school. She's listening to music and I glance on her phone and the playlist is titled "sad music" I says "charls I'm sorry" she cuts me off and says "no I'm sorry" and looks down. I say "charli you know you can tell me anything right?" She nods. I say "what is it charls?" She says "I really just don't wanna talk about it" I say "did you and your parents get in a fight or something?!" She says "no chase just drop the topic!" And storms off into the other room.
Charlis pov: I go into the kitchen and start to cry. I wipe my tears away as chase comes up and hugs me. He says "charli I'm sorry" I say "don't be chase it's just" I pause and then say again "it's just my parents are dead" he looks shocked and says "what?" I say "yeah" in a sad tone. I say "they died in a car accident a month ago and Dixie legally became my guardian and we moved here for a fresh start." He hugs me and says "oh baby girl I'm so sorry" I hug him even tighter and we let go. Dixie, Addison, Bryce, and nick are all standing there in shock and Dixie crying. Nick looks at Dixie and says "what?!" And hugs her. Addison says "wait how did I not know this?" I said "we don't like talking about it and nothing changed so just forget this all happened" everyone nods.
3 hours later
Chases POV: I walk up to charli and say "hey so do you mind if my mom and dad come here for dinner to meet everyone?" Charli says "that's completely fine I can't wait to meet them!" I tell everyone else and they are fine with it. Dixie cooks and we all get ready
Charlis pov: I'm meeting charlis parents tonight and I'm nervous. What if they don't like me? I put on this outfit

Chases pov: I can tell that charli is nervous they won't like her. I really hope they do. My parents are kinda judge mental.
1 hour later-
Charlis pov: I open the door for chases mom and I say "hello mrs. Hudson and mr. Hudson!" They say "hello charli!" I open it where they can come in and they walk in. We sit down to eat and and chases mom says "so you and Dixie and Addison all love here alone?" I say "yes mam" she says "what about your parents?" I look down and say "oh they live in Connecticut" chase grabs my thigh. Then his mom says "so they just let y'all live here alone?" Dixie answers for me and says "yes" his mom says "oh well that's not the best parenting" I bit my tongue trying not to say anything. Chase says "mom can I talk to you in private?" She nods and they get up. They go out of the room and Bryce says "dang" and nick laughs.
Chases POV: I pull my mom into the other room and say "please stop being so critical" my mom says "what did I do?" I say "her parents are dead!" They died a month ago! Just don't talk about them she doesn't like talking about it" my mom nods and we walk back into the dining room. We sit down and continue eating charli says "so how did you guys meet?" Talking to my mom and dad. They explained it and charli smiled. My dad says "so charli tell me about yourself when are we going to meet your parents?" Charli says "oh I'm not sure" and my mom looks down. My dad then says "what are their names?" Charli then pauses for a second and then goes to answer saying "Marc and Heidi" he nods and says "well how did they meet?" Charli says "oh I think I need some water I will be right back" and she goes in the kitchen. I follow her and see her crying in the kitchen. I hug her and then my dad walks in and says "why are you crying?!" In a critical voice. I then say "dad just stop" but he says "why is she being a baby?" And the Dixie walks over by charli and says "our parents are dead they died a month ago" charli walks to another room. My dad looks shocked.
Charlis pov: I go to the bathroom to straighten myself together my wiping away my mascara that is dripping off my cheek. I hear a knock on the door and I say "who is it?" And chases mom says "it's me!" I say "come in so you need something?" She shuts the door and says "no honey I was just coming to see if your okay" I say "oh I'm fine" and she smiles and says "if you ever need anything I'm one call away okay?" I say "okay thank you mrs. Hudson" and then she says "call me Tammy" I smile and say "okay thank you Tammy" she smiles and we both walk out. We continue eating dinner and over all have a good night."
