prologue

previously on everything sucks...

it was the big premiere of intergalactic lust. luke shows the version of the movie with the new ending. he makes up with kate, and he brings sherry and ken back together. the movie ends up being a huge success.

after the premiere, emaline pulls kate aside to the auditorium. they dance together to duran duran and they finally kiss. mcquaid walks in and ends up seeing them. his heart is broken. he throws away the pinecone emaline gave him.

kate comes back to the gym. ken tells her how proud he is of her, and even tells her that she's "glowing." kate feels proud of herself too, so she gathers up courage and attempts to come out to her father. but it fails when sherry comes over to meet her for the first time. sherry invites the two over for dinner, which they gladly accept.

the four of them are inside luke and sherry's, eating and bonding together. for once, they felt like a normal family.

what they don't notice is the man who just drove up to the o'neil's on his motorcycle about to knock on their door.
