"Hello love ! What about a candle light dinner tonight ?" I messaged my lovely wife Vanessa. Only thought of her can make me inside out happy. While waiting for her reply I remembered the time I proposed her 3 years ago . Time flies so fast......

" I don't want to date you any more . " I said with a stern expression on my face . However my heart was pounding inside my chest . " What ? What are you saying Xavier ? This is some kind of joke right " Vanessa said with fear in her voice and tears pricking in her eyes. " No . I am not joking . I am so done with dating you." I said. "You can't do this to me. We have been together for 2 years . You can't just say that you are done dating me." She said while tears rolled down her cheeks. "Yes , I can say it " saying this I bent down on one knee in front of her and grabbed a box from inside of my pocket "I can say that I am done dating you because I no longer can stay away from you . " Her expressions were amazing , while tears rolling down her cheeks , she gasped and put her hands on her mouth ,he eyes glittering with both shock and happiness. I am so in love with her . Sound of my message ringtone brought me out of my thoughts . I picked up phone . It was a message from Vanessa . "Yeah why not . But what about Alicia ?" She asked . Alicia is our 1 year old daughter and for me she is the cutest girl in the world.
"We can leave her to my mother . She will take great care of her . " I replied. "Ok . About what time should I be ready ? " she asked. "About 6'o clock " I replied . "Isn't so soon?" Her message appeared . " We will go on a long drive first and then on dinner." I replied and turned my phone silent so That I can finish all my work before 5 pm so that I can go to my home and freshen up before going out with my lovely wife.
Its already 5:55 pm and I have not finished my work yet. I know Vanessa will be very angry if she has to wait for me for the next 10 minutes . So I decided to send my driver to pick her up and bring her to my office so that we can go to dinner.
After an hour...
It has been 1 hour since I sent my driver to pick her up and they have not arrived yet. I am getting worried because my house is barely 15 minutes drive away from my office. I think that she might have saw a flower shop. To know Vanessa I can tell you that she will stop when she sees flower even if it raining or snowing . Suddenly my phone started ringing . It was an unknown landline number. Suddenly my heart started beating very fast . I picked up the call. "Are you Xavier Jones? Husband of Vanessa Jones ?" A rough voice asked . " Yes I am " I replied with an unknown fear in my voice. "Sir , I am speaking from city hospital and I am very sorry to inform you that your wife and driver have meet a very terrible accident. They have been struck by a truck which was loaded with constructional material. Your driver is no more but your wife is alive. But unfortunately she has lost a lot of blood. Kindly reach hospital as soon as possible. Thank you. " With this the call ended and I was in the shock but I rushed towards my car and drove it in full speed to reach the hospital.
I reached the hospital and rushed towards the emergency. There was a doctor standing there who rushed towards me as soon as he saw me . "You are Xavier Jones ?" He asked . I nodded. "We have operated your wife but she is in very critical position . A lot of blood has lost and she has a brain injury. We have done what we can do. But next 24 hours are very important for her. Pray for her " saying this he walked away while I kept standing there besides the wall. Slowing slipping downwards I sat on the floor and prayed for the love of my life .
It is going to be the longest night of my life !
