What the Fate hides

Chapter 4

Violet POV

"I really don't know what to do . "Emily came to me as soon as I messaged her about dad. She was also shocked to hear that because dad always took care of her health.
"The treament is necessary and also is very expensive. We should collect charity." Emily said. "No, I can't do that. I will find a job." I said with determination in my voice . " A job ?? Sweetheart probably you forgot that you are not a graduate yet. And who will give a nice salary job to an under graduate?" Emily said.

She was right in any manner but I can not just sit idly and seeing my father's health devastating.I have to do something. " I am leaving college and skipping my studies from tomorrow." I said . Pure shock appeared on Emily's face. "Are you gone mad Violet Becker?" She only calls men by my full name when she is very angry. " Have you gone out of your mind? You are skipping studies then how are you gonna do something for uncle's treatment ?"

"I will find a job and I am sure I will find a nice job and will save my fathet from miserable death." I said with the determination.

Emily left after preparing some food for dada and me because I was in the right state of mind to do any of  house chores. Tomorrow would be a new day. Tomorrow would be new start in my life.

Tomorrow will change everything. !!!!

Xavier's mother POV

It has been 4 years since Vanessa died and since then nothing has been the same. My son changed completely. He loves his daughter more than everything in this world but sadly he is not very expressive. That's why Alicia is mostly sad. Poor child , she was so young when her mother died that she didn't even remember her. And her daddy is mostly engrossed in his work.

My son's company has become an empire during these past 4 years. He works day and night . He has become a workaholic. He doesn't have time for me, for his daughter, for his family. Wish I could find a girl who can make my son like he was before, the joyful Xavier.

I was missing Alicia as I have not visited her since a week. I decided to go there. "Alicia sweety, grandma is here ", I called out as soon as I stepped into the house. But like everytime before Alicia didn't came running. I called her maid ," Jinna ! Jinna ! Where are you ? " . Jinna came out from Alicia's room. "Where is Alicia ?" , I asked.  "She is very ill Mrs. Jones ". "Where's Xavier?" I asked while rushing towards Alicia room. "I called him many times but he had said his secretary to not pass on him any phone , no matter whose phone is it" , Jinna replied.

At night

" Where have you been Xavier ? We called for a number of times " I asked Xavier angerly as soon as he stepped into the house. " Not now mom I am really tired and not in the mood for an explanation call. " Xavier replied dryly. " Do you know Alicia is having a high fever. She was completely burning when I got here.  Do not care about us , but atleast care about your daughter Xavier. For god's sake, Vanessa left you but that is not Alicia's fault . If you can't take care of her then get married to a girl who can take care of her better than you. " I said and then stood up and left his house.

Xavier POV

Mom left without saying goodbye . I know she's been really angry with me right now and she was right in her way but I was not wrong too. When I woke up tbis morning the first thought that came to me was of Vanessa. It has been 4 years but I have not won to forget her because I have not even tried to do so.

I hurried towards Alicia's room. There she was laying in her bed, her governess Jinna was beside her. She was keeping a cold wet cloth on her forehead to lessen her fever. "How's she?" I asked Jinna. "Much better sir." She replied. "Why didn't you informed me in first place?" I asked. Jinna saw towards with such expressions in her eyes that I got embarrased. I remembered that In office , I was missing Vanessa so much that I told my secretary to not pass on me any call .

I moved towards bed and placed my hand on Alicia's fore head. Gosh ! She is burning. " Do you have gave her any medicine ?" I asked Jinna. "Yes , last week when Alicia was having a fever , doctor gave her medicine. It was a syrup for fever. I gave her that." She replied.

I placed a kiss on Alicia's forehead. She opened here eyes slightly. "Mommy ! " That was all she said before again drifting back to sleep. I became frozen for a minute then I turned around and rushed towards the door.

First mommy's lecture, she insisted me to get a mom for Alicia and now Alicia too. I can't give Vanessa's place to any other person. But for Alicia I can do anything because that was the last thing Vanessa asked for. I could not forbid her words. If my Alicia wants a mother. I will get her .

But the problem is that who girl wants a husband who only wants her for her daughter. I will keep finding until I get one. There will be atleast one girl in the world who will be my Alicia's mother.

If my daughter needs a mother I will find it even I have to find it from another city, another country or another subcontinent.

I will find my daughter a mother !!!
