~Mitch's POV~
It's been 13 years since I've seen that Bacca.
As I walked down the snow filled pavement, my mind drifting off like the flurry of snow swirling around me. What is that furry Bacca doing nowadays? Is he still alive...?
I shook my head and the worries left me in an instant. Even at 18 years of age I still can't stop thinking of Jerome. I sighed out loud as I pushed the café door open. I was greeted by the usual warmth and strong smell of coffee. I looked up at the cashier with a blank face, after realizing I quickly gave a huge, cheeky grin. I'm not really one to ruin somebody's day just by the scowl plastered on my face.
"One dark, medium coffee, please." I said.
"Alright, coming right up!" The woman said with much enthusiasm. The energy she possessed could power a whole city!
"Here you go sir." She said as a cup with steam rising was put in front of me. I gladly took that cup and started walking to the door, forgetting to pay. "Sir! You forgot to pay!" She called out.
"Oh my god." I muttered as I scurried back. "Sorry, it just smelled so delightful, I couldn't help myself." I said with a smile and a slight chuckle, handing over a big 5 dollar bill, and walking away. "Sir! You forgot your change!" She called out, exasperated. As I slithered out the door I called back "Keep the change!" And swiftly walked out.
Taking a large sip of my freshly brewed coffee I began my way back to my newly bought apartment.~Jerome's POV~
I sat down quietly with a large bowl of soup in hand. The steam of the soup was nonexistent, nevertheless it was eatable food. Looking down at the soup I thought of the only thing that kept me from committing suicide, Mitch. I knew deep down that I would never, ever see those lovely caramel eyes again, but the mere thought of him gave me hope. The hope that one day I will get out of this horrible soup kitchen and find him one day, this hope even powers me to continue with my life and not give it away. I lifted to silver spoon and held it to the bright light which hung above my head, even the luster of the spoon could not mimic the shimmer and shine of his beautiful eyes.I'm so sorry you guys. School has been hellish! Essays left and right, jeez!! But here you go, chapter 3: Coffee And Eyes. And yes, finally a new POV. Hope you guys enjoyed this well deserved chapter. :)
