The Deathly Mortem

Hold your breath

Welcome to the second round of Mortem, High Sea. You need to survive while the arena is flooding, the arena will slowly drain the water after about 1 hour, starting NOW!

What?

Grey looks around him, holes on the sides of the 4 walls appear and water starts pouring out. The dirt sucks up the first buckets of water but the tropical arena starts turning into a muddy swamp. The whole floor now covered with water and Grey starts panicking.

Owh my lord, WHAT THE..

Grey's though gets cut of just like the branch he was standing on, the water is bashing hard against the tree. It made some of the branches break or snap and Grey starts falling. Fast reflexes kick in and Grey grasps the small branches around him searching for a hold. But they all break under his weight. He falls onto a thick branch on his back, he screams in pain. His breath leaving his body and his lungs filling up with water as he lands in the water. The stream pulling him and pushing him. His head smashes against the tree and slowly everything in front of him starts to fade.

No.. no-no I can't die, this can't be happening NOOO

His thoughts slowly fading away together with his body in the deep water.

Wha.. what? I.. Iam alive!! And underwater!

Grey tries to gasp for air but again fills his lungs with water, he starts moving his arms and legs in circles hopelessly trying to get to the surface. He is right next to the North wall of the arena. Searching for a grasp he flails his arms around. The tide pushes him against the wall time after time. Until magic happens, a hole in the wall, where the water is coming from!

This one hole must be broken no water is coming out, maybe there is air!

Now that Grey has a goal he starts moving like a squid to get to the hole. His black hair flying in front of his eyes endlessly, small sticks and stones bashing against his legs. One fast wave hits Grey into the hole in the wall, his almost dead cold body hitting the wall.

Iam in! A small tunnel I can just crawl through, maybe I can get out of this arena! It looks pretty dark in here, Iam so cold. I need to start crawling.

He starts crawling through the small tunnel, water sometimes leaking into the tunnel and making the metal tube vibrate a little. After what felt like hours he sees a light, an end to the tunnel.

What is here?

He stands up stretching his legs and arms, the tunnel was open here probably for repair. A long pipe way covered in metal stretching far, tubes everywhere full of water. There seems to be a yellow door far away.

Beep Beep Beep 'Level Three Starts Now"

What a monotone voice that woman has, but level three started so that means they don't know where I am. Wait there must be other contestants or is this all part of the weird Mortem game. Then why am I not seeing my red hologram screen?
