PETER'S POV
Kim just texted me that she and Brooke are leaving the hotel. I told her to take someone's hoodie, because I don't know if dad won't be angry she comes dressed like this from the hotel a group of hockey players are staying. Well, he doesn't know where she is yet, but you got the point. We are in our garden now. "Where is your sister, by the way? I know she went somewhere, but where?" My dad asked. "Kim and Brooke went to buy food and bring it to the boys, because they had a game and yeah." "Wait, the USA boys again?" "Yeah, they and actually me too became really good friends. The past few weeks she has only been hanging out with them and Brooke." "Do you know who their coach is?" "Nope, why?" "I'm just curious, nothing else." "Okay." "Oh, and when you say the boys, who exactly do you mean? Like Trevor and Jack or a bigger group?" "Well, Trevor, Jack, Cole, Quinn and Alex." "Dummy, I want the last names too." "Yeah sorry, Trevor Zegras, Jack and Quinn Hughes, Cole Caufield, Alex Turcotte." "Caufield? I've heard about him. He's a really good sniper." "Yeah, you should see him play." "Should I?" "No, I didn't mean that. No, I actually meant it, but you know, I didn't think about it as I was saying it." "Yeah, but it's a nice idea." "No Felix, please don't," my mom joined. "What?" "You know exactly what." "Yeah? So I shouldn't care about my daughter's friends?" "I'm not saying anything like that. Just don't be overprotective." "I'm not being overprotective. You know what Alice? I'm gonna show you. You're going to be the overprotective mom. Peter, text these guys, we'll have a burger night tomorrow, they're coming too." "Are you sure?" "I'm 100% sure!" "Oh god Felix, leave Kim alone." "I'm not doing anything bad. We'll have a family night. If they were here with their parents I would invite them too." "Dad, can Brooke come too?" "Yeah." "Felix, will you invite Brooke's parents since they're in the same city?" "If they want to, they can come." "Do what you want Felix, just please don't make me help you," mom said angrily and then went inside. "Pete, do you really think it's a bad idea?" "I don't know. I hope it'll be fine." "Don't worry, everything will be alright. Anyway, shouldn't she be at home by now? It's getting late, these guys should probably go to bed soon." "You're right, I should text her."
BROOKE'S POV
"Kimmy, we should probably go, it's getting late." "Yeah, my brother just texted me to take someone's hoodie, because I look way too hot for my dad to see me. Any applications for a hoodie giver?" "Here," Jack handed her one of his hoodies, "and by the way, your brother is right," he laughed. "Aw, thank you, Jackieboy." "Enough lovebirds, we gotta go." "Oh shut up Brooke, I spent half of my life waiting you to leave your boyfriend alone," Kim hissed. We finally got out of their room and headed to my car. It was dark outside. When we reached the reception, we wanted to walk fast and be inconspicuous, but the lady called us and Kim froze again. "Ladies, can I talk to you one more time?" We went to her. "So, I know the brother thing was a lie. Don't ask how, it was obvious it's a lie." "We're sorry. Me and my friend wanted to bring them food and didn't expect you to stop us. Once again, we're sorry." "You don't have to apologize, I get it. I was actually dating a boy that stayed in a hotel too, when I was your age." "Wait, how did you know I'm dating one of the guys?" "I've seen you give each other goodbye kisses multiple times, you're so cute by the way. So yeah, what I'm trying to say, don't lie next time, it's dumb. Just say, "we're going to see our boyfriends," and I'm gonna let you go. But if it's not me go faster and act like you're staying here." "Oh my god, thank you so much. You're really nice, even after we lied to you." "I've had problems with the reception ladies too when I went to see my boyfriend, so I'm trying to make it better for you. What are your names by the way?" "I'm Brooke." "And I'm Kimberly." "Don't be afraid of me Kim, I'm not gonna hurt you. Chill." After this talk, me and Kim finally got to the car. We were almost at Kim's house when Peter started telling her that their dad is asking where she is, because it's late. A few minutes later Peter texted her one more time. Their dad wants to make a burger night with me, my parents, and the boys. I don't know if I want to take my parents there. Nothing against them, but it's not the right time for them to meet Alex yet. I feel like they're going to ask how long we've been dating and then won't take the relationship seriously, because we've only been dating for a short while. But I guess I'm not supposed to decide this time. My parents are meeting my boyfriend tomorrow. Yay! No, this wasn't a happy "yay".
