I wake up to the sunlight blazing through my windows, illuminating my whole room, I slowly twist my body to look at the clock on my bedside table, 06:54. Urg.
"ZAK!" I screamed as loud as my morning self could cope with, which wasn't very loud.
"WHAT?!" Zak yelled whilst panting as he came barging into my room only wearing black boxers and bed hair, his body thrust forward with one hand on the door frame, the other on the handle.
"What time do I need to be at school?" I ask sleepily as his face drops dramatically and his body slumps.
"Are you being serious?" He asks dryly, dropping his hands from the door frame and handle.
"Yes." I mutter incoherently as I let my eyes flutter close and snuggle my body into my duvet and pillows.
"I thought you were dying." He says flatly. "-and the fact that Lex and Raffer are still asleep is beyond me."
"You exaggerate." I mumble into my pillow, my eyes still closed.
"Do I fuck." He says between small laughs. "-now your new school, Shadowed High, expects you to be there before eight, so I'd shift your lazy ass if I was you sleeping beauty."
At my old school, we had to be at school before half eight, this is a big difference.
"If rather lay in my queen sized bed than sit on a plastic chair, so I'm gonna' pass."
For a moment there was silence so I pulled up the covers and enveloped my body in warmth before Zak spoke up again.
"They're metal chairs actually. And passing isn't an option, so get moving."
"Er, fuck off" I groaned as the door closed and I smiled into my pillow, letting my tiredness take over. Fuck school.

I scrunched my face sleepily as something pressed in my cheek, then I felt nothing.
Seconds later, something touched my face again as my eyes snapped open and I grabbed the hand which was touching my face before spinning it around and pinning the body to my bed.
"Zak." I breathed out heavily as I realised who I had pinned to the bed, letting go of his arms as he groaned, making no attempt to move.
"You have feral instincts." Zak said in a way which made it obvious that something was squashing his cheeks. "-crazy lady."
"What the fuck were you doing poking my cheeks?" I protested in annoyance, getting woken up isn't pleasant.
"Waking you up, it's twenty to ten and at Shadowed break is ten till half past." He mumbles inaudibly.
How does he know all this shit?
"And?" I ask him flatly as he made a frustrated sigh and pushed himself up off the bed.
"I'd rather arrive in break so I'm not late for anyone's class, I'll phone and say you were busy with moving in and stuff." He answered whilst looking at me before making his way to the door.
"Does it really look like I care about being late?" I ask, an eyebrow raised.
He stops to look at me and says something before exiting my room.
"Not at all."
He shuts the door behind him and I feel like collapsing back onto my bed but my body moves reluctantly towards the bathroom.
I open the door and close it behind me, walking to the huge shower and twisting the handle allowing pools of water to pour freely.
I strip out of the clothes I slept in and test the water before stepping in and letting the water flood over my frame.
