— Chloe Romano

As the rays of sunshine woke me up from my sleep, I reached out for the body I clinged all night but was now nowhere to be found. My eyes slowly opened, checking the clock that read 7:25am. Justin wasn't sleeping peacefully next to me like he usually did back in Stratford and for a brief moment, I kind of felt panic rise within me. Taking deep breaths, I brushed the thoughts off and made my way downstairs, where he probably was at.

Justin, who was in the kitchen making breakfast, turned around as soon as he heard my footsteps. I didn't know why I was still so insecure about him leaving when it was me who left and him who followed me to another continent. On top of that, I guess I still didn't know how he was going to react to my little scare that I had.

"Good morning to the most beautiful woman in the entire world." Justin cooed, wearing only shorts, showing off his toned body. He smiled before kissing my forehead gently, immediately melting my heart.

"What did you do now?" I teased.

"Me? Doing something wrong?" Justin faked to be hurt, holding his first against his chest. "I'd never."

I rolled my eyes at him playfully. "Sure."

Whilst Justin was walking over to the dining table, carrying the food for the both of us with him, I prepared some cold pressed juices before joining him.

Sitting down next to him, we started eating. "So I talked to Nick this morning." Justin started, looking down at his plate.

"About what?"

"Basically he is checking out different locations to gather up some dirt on Damien. He's also at the place where, you know, you found Brad."

I knew which place he was talking about; It was where I lost my brother forever and almost lost the love of my life, as well. I swallowed my food down. "Do you think he will find something?"

"I truly hope so. There must be something that will prove my innocent and send Damien straight to prison. He can't be immune forever." Justin simply shrugged.

I nodded my head. "I need to thank Nick for everything he's doing, I'm really grateful for him."

"He knows, trust me."

Suddenly, my new phone which was still in the kitchen, started to ring. "Want me to get it?" Justin offered and I nodded my head.

As Justin made his way over to the kitchen, he picked up the phone. "Who is it?" I asked.

"Jamie." He simply said, causing me to jump off from my chair and jog over to the kitchen.

"It's probably about some gossip on the boys." I waved it off, earning a nod from Justin before answering the call. „Hello?"

"Hey, Chloe. How are you feeling today?" Jamie's voice was gentle. Almost too gentle. She didn't need to pity me, everything was fine. I was fine.

"I'm good." I reassured her before looking around, smiling at Justin. "Just eating some breakfast with Justin."

"Have you told him yet?" She asked.

"No..." My voice trailed off. Justin was looking at me like he was trying to figure out what we were talking about. I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. "Stop being so nosy, babe." I gently pushed his head away which made him roll his eyes at me.

"If you need me to be there for you, just say the word." Jamie sounded worried, but there wasn't something she could do to help me in this situation. I appreciated it, though.
